screen freeze when trying to login online

Hey :bow2: tech ppl. When I try to log online after clicking logon my screen freezes on "trying to log onto forum" page and I have to rebot my computer. I've checked my firewall and DOW/WA is granted full access. So I don't really know whats going on. Thanks for your help.

I'm having pretty much the same problem. I lock up right after I press the login button. Gamespy issues?

Yeah same here..., probably because of the ladder reset...

Affirmative, Praxis says that the reset just happend at 9:59 so maybe they're still setting things up.

Still, locking up the program (never mind the whole computer) is a bug. I didn't have to reboot, but I did have to kill off program. Not good.

Yeah, gamespy looks to be having issues, probably (as previously stated) because of the ladder being reset.

Good thing I checked in this thread, I was about to make my own! Ya, when I try to log into gamespy my screen freezes....I was about ready tinker with my firewall and uninstall the game.

:dito: Getting the same thing. Tried twice, and the task manager (sort of) popped up and I was able to kill the app. Second time I had to reset. :rage:

im having the same problem its 2:21 am here..seems like they wouldnt take al night to fix something like that....but then again its been one bug after another with this game...the sad thing is i love this game so much i put up with it, but please guys start getting it together before dark crusade comes out

Odd that gamespy problems are causing this - the culprit is normally a firewall preventing DoW from accessing the net.
