Why Am I Lagging!?

I got this mid way through 1.41... I just got massive lag on games bigger than 1v1. I have turned down my settings to safe mode...

I have nothing else running... yet i lag, even 1v1's lag sometimes... before this started i could play with decent graphics on 4v4 maps... now its just shit.

I thought 1.5 would fix it but it hasn't... i can play all other games with graphics.. with no lag... what is going on.

I don't think performance is an issue atm tbh. I can watch replays fine... you would think that if it was a graphical or a performance problem replays would also become choppy and "laggy".

What port does dow use? Also apart from not having any other programs connected to the internet when playing is there any other problems which could cause a dodgy connection.
