Clan Tags in CoH

The beta doesn't seem to allow you to create any of the common separators for clan tags. Any idea why they limit the character set? Does anyone know if the new relic online support clans in some other fashion?

According to the official site, the game is to include full clan support. However, you probably shouldn't be posting here and what the beta does or doesn't include.
