Was wondering if it was possible to get dawn of steel 1.5 to work with the skirmish mod 1.8.

Possible?

No it's not possible but Steel Legion already uses a build of the Skirmish AI.

Yep, just put the AI folder in the data folder.
And,
why is it in Completed Mods Discussion?

timhamm and apcor, due to updates in the AI mod, the 2 CANNOT be played at the same time.

tim, DoS is a finished mod, as is the AI mod, diffrence is AI mod is constantly making improvements and releases new versions.

Ok, The only flaw about my post is that if you replace the 1.8 AI with steel legion one you cant fight the steel legion.

so can I just replace each race's AI in the steel legion/data folder with the skirmish AI for all the races? I guess minus steel legion AI?

Or just replace the ai folder in SL with skirmish AI. But that would eliminate the original SL AI

please clarify.

thanx

Steel Legion should already include AI Skirmish I'm not mistaken since Thud was there AI maker and they included the other race's advance ai also.

apcor,

As a matter of fact, there is BETA version available with 1.8-ish AI and a recode of SL vehicles to be affected by CotMs. Before I give you the link, though, you should be warned that it's a BETA patch. Some users have talked about bugs and such with it, and it's a balance patch as well. If you test it out, tell the team about what you like/don't like/think should be changed:

http://www.steellegion.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1164&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0#top

The actual patch link is:

http://www.thedancemacabre.com/steellegion/20thJuly_sl_wa15_beta01.rar

Just note, that the patch doesn't have an installer. You'll need to manually move the folder in that .rar file into your Steel Legion folder.
