Can the Airborne unit get a discount for replacement if you do it next to the HQ/halftrack?(something like 30, similar to the ranger) it doesn't make sense for the new guy to paradrop in if a HQ/halftrack is near.
strafe/bombing: 150/250 is a bit much to ask considering how ineffective the plane is compared to an arty strike the other tech tree get. Maybe the cost should be lowered or damage increased.?
paradrop guns: can the crew automatically equip the 57mm once it land? hard to wait for the drop to finish if a tiger is rolling through your line.
question:how does the recoiless rifle compare to the bazooka used by the Ranger? And between the m1 carbine and the m1 garand?
If the bazooka is better, I would prefer to pay a slightly more expensive upgrade (say 150, price of two panzershrek..) for a better weapon anyway....

Strafe and Bomb are some of the most effective abilities in the game, given the very limited time the enemy is given to react.

Yes, but they also will sometimes miss completely, and not because you aimed it wrong - just bugged, completely random miss.
I do wonder if that was intentional, though, since they are so damn powerful if they hit. The strafing run seems to be the one that can be completely off, and this would be fine if maybe it cost a little less munitions to use. 150 is pretty steep when there's a chance it will just veer off 100 meters and blow the crap out of some weeds.

I still believe that the Paratroopers should get amped a tab bit. I play Axis soley and I've been owning the Airbourne tech tree, they only give you problems in early game, after that its all down hill.

yeah, allied para spam can be annoying, but build a few ostwinds and that usually kills it. Wish Relic put in the Wirblewind instead though, that would be killer.

Personaly I use a halftrack with a flamer to kill paratroopers you can get one out faster than an ostwind but it costs a lot of munitions and some fuel it also can't shoot enemy paratroopers while they're still in the air.

Paratroopers seem to be a LOT more effective on larger maps (ie that 3v3 one) where you can effectively conceal them and attack where the enemy is least expecting it. They aren't too hot for the other maps where everything is more dense.

McGechaen's War is also well suited to paratroopers.
Airborne is ok as it is right now. The only thing that bugs me is the price of paratroopers. 375 for effectively a slightly more effective rifleman squad doesn't seem like a deal. 325 would be better especially considering the cost of satchels and the recoiless rifle.
McGechaen's War is also well suited to paratroopers.
But it is also well suited to axis tank rape, which > paratroopers.

I love this game and I love the fact as a whole its very close to being balanced. That being said I have one huge problem and that is ,airborne tree as a whole is overpowerd. The reasosns:
1) Airborne troops, its not just that you can drop them anywhere from the start of the game (yes I know you have to see the drop, but you could drop anywhere with the help of a jeep). I think it should cost 2 tree points. Althought they are slighty more then norm troops, the fact is in the begining they are annoying and the germans have lil to to counter them (again they could do a half track/flame or egineers/flame, this is expensive and often they arive to late).
2) Airborne arty's, this is total junk imo, they should drop the guns not the crew if it gets dropped in your base asap as it often does. They do so much damage that even when you are able to stop it its to late you have lost to much.
3) Supply Drops, is to strong for a free drop to give you 2 weapons 100 munition and 40 fuel (not exactly sure) this is overpowered compare that with the manpower blitz that does give you a huge amount of manpower at the cost of shutting down your economy.
Sure I could be wrong but from what ive seen online (ive played alot of games) most people play americans, and most do airborne.
I like the idea of the airborne doct but the fact of the matter is in the end the germans have only one realy counter to it and thats flakpanzers and 88's (if your defensive). If you set up anymap with high resources against american players with airborne you will be at a severe disadvantage and for those that will flame me plz try it.

Paratroopers DO cost 2 tree points.
Personally, I think that dispite the fact that you can reenforce them anywhere, that the manpower cost for reenforce is pretty damn high. I mean, atleast reduce the cost when near an HQ or halftrack.
I also think that they should be able to build sandbags. There is an option to do so, but you need Defence Operations, which is in the Infantry tree.

I find that to be the most ironic part of Paratroopers. Sure, they can build defensive structures but in order to do so they need the Infantry tree. Go figure.
They should just get rid of that greyed out portion of their build menu. However, if they could build defensive structures (even without the Infantry tree) they'd be waaaay overpowered for 2 CPs.
By the way, I noticed this in the stat screen. Munitions and Fuel stats were identical between my teammate and I, even though I went Airborne and he went Infantry. I was always under the assumption that the Supply Drops only helped me and not my ally. Since they were identical, that should mean that he's getting the supplies just like I am. If that's the case, 2, 3, even 4 Allied players could all go Airborne and really boost their economy. 200-400 Munitions and 80-160 Fuel for free, regardless of points taken is quite a boon.
I haven't seen any strategies capitalizing on this fact but I'm sure they'll be out soon enough.

I say they can only build sandbags, not all the other stuff. I mean, how hard is it to find sand and bags?
As for the supply drop, I think that only add on to your total and not your intake. Might just be a coicidence that they were the same.
