View Full Version : Problem with patching

I played MP beta many times, but since today game is asking me to download a patch. So i download it, start installation but when I get on install screen itself (with sign "Patching in progress"), nothing happenes, installation stops and I have to exit it. So I can't play, of course. I have an original CD-key.
What do I have to do? Thanks for advices.

Have you only tried to run the patch once? To attempt to run it again go to My Documents/My Games/Company of Heroes Beta/Patches/ and run the .exe's in there.
If that fails try to unistall and reinstall the game, make sure to manually wipe the patches folder.

I've tried it many times, everything you've written here. But nothing helps... Isn't it some problem with Relic servers or something like that?

Also from what version to what are you trying to go. Did you make sure to wipe the patchs folder and the "Program files\thq\company of heroes" folder on your hard drive?

ok I had the same problem and worked on it for 2 hours now and finaly got it fixed, dont be alarmed it was easy to fix, here it is;
THe thing is that you need 1 gig free on the hardrive as it says in the install, but if you have installed it on let us say e:\, the patches still saves in C:\, and the install calculates the amount of free space you need on the same partision that you have the patch file on. So simply move the patch file located in my case; C:\Documents and Settings\Administratör\Mina dokument\My Games\Company of Heroes BETA\Patch\" to a partision that has 1 gig free space and run in from there :)
