Chaos Renegade Militia
Coming straight from the forthcoming Imperial Armour Volumes 5 and 6, the new Chaos Renegade Militia pack contains ten replacement head and torso pieces to convert Cadian Imperial Guardsmen into corrupted pawns of the Dark Powers. Complete with tattered uniforms and heavy breathing equipment to pump mind-corrupting chemicals and spores into the lungs of the deluded minions of the Ruinous Powers, these pieces were originally designed to be used along with the Cadian Shock Troops sprues, but, as we've discovered after playing with a few other kits, they have almost unlimited possibilities for conversions. Combining them with the Catachan and Warhammer Chaos Marauder sprues creates some very intimidating opponents for your enemy whilst, with a little bit of work, combining them with the Space Marine Scouts sprues can create some great infiltrators for the Alpha Legion. If you prefer your chaotic hordes a little more mutated, why not combine them with the Chaos Mutations and Warhammer Chaos Beastmen sprues? The possibilities don't just end with the denizens of Chaos either, Savlar Chem-dogs and any Guard regiment using the Chem-inhalers doctrine, would be represented brilliantly by these pieces just by filing away or filling the Chaos Stars and raiding your bits box may provide you with all the bits you need to create some very sinister Servitors for your Inquisitor's retinue.

oooh, these are perfect for the strogg/skiitari conversions I wanted to do. :D

edit, or at 17.00 USD for a set of only 10, maybe not.

Now that is very nice. When Forge world puts these out for 'normal buyers' I can see LatD becoming very popular

Some look silly in my opinion.

But I like the new trend of making regular units...adds some nice (but expenisve!) spice to the game. :)

I think that without the chaos markings, they could make a nice addition to a Last Chancer force.

They look like the bad guy guards from Half Life 2, I forgot what they were called...

May I suggest deep striking to TT General? That's the usual place for new releases to be announced.

As always, Forge World have produced a fantastic kit that's out of my price range.

Not exactly very Chaos-like to me.

Thats because they arn't painted Chaos-y yet. If anyone does get them and paints 'em Post some pictures. I'm sure they will look very Chaos-y when painted.

You may not.

It makes me look like a slacker.

*sigh*

I'm sorry, but those are just... fugly. Seriously. It looks like they just shoved a blob of greenstuff on for a head, poked it a bit, added eyes, and called it finished.

I like those models.

But more imprtantly: Chaos Renegades army list!!!

I might have to hold out from buying any more Genestealer Cultists untill I can get hold of the updated army list ;)

No. That is not what I meant. What I meant was that the upgrade parts do not seem tattered or damaged enough. I expected Chaos stuff to be something like torn pants, scars on the face and stuff. This one is just too clean. Even without the paint.

That's mostly because those legs are from cadians/catachans. The only part of the model that is in the 'conversion kit' is the upper torso and head.

You could probably use marauders legs/arms and suitably mutilate them... or just use the zombie legs of the WH Vampire counts. ;)
