Patching Error?

I couldnt find this anywhere on the forums but Im too mad to look anymore. I waited for this 800mb patch to finish and then I installed the patch it comes up as a patching error. I have reinstalled the whole beta and still does not work. Any solutions for this problem yet? :banghead:

What's the exact error? I tried to patch this morning and it told me the patch was corrupt, so I'm re-downloading it while I'm at work.

I experinced the same issue, downloaded another copy and was still unable to patch. reinstalled the beta at 1.7 (which took a few attempts, it kept failing) and that failed to patch from 1.8 to 1.10. Unistalled and reinstalled, always failed, now 1.7 is failing again during the install process complaining about data1.cab being corrupted. Downloaded the 1.11 client and it won't install, downloaded again, still won't install. It always fails extracting with bad crc error. The bf2142 game installer also fails.
Hijack this log doesn't show any viruses, tried everything with my AV on and off, etc. It all just fails. I think fileplanet may be causing the issue, though I downloaded the patch the first time with firefox, not the download manager.

have you put the patch in the My Documents/My Games/Company of Heroes BETA/Patch folder before patching?

Yes. I am downloading the new client, we will see how it goes from there. It may be something wrong with my computer...or fileplanet.

Ya I am redownloading everything now..gonna try some stuff and if it doesnt work I will not be a happy camper.:banghead:

I just redownloaded the whole beta. Says the patch is corrupt. I have 90 gb on my hard drive so that isnt an issue. This is annoying.

Well I redownloaded it all...I tried it again and came up with the same thing. Corrupt patch. I tried it a second time and it worked. I dont get it but hey OK!

Downloaded the entire client for 1.6, it says its corrupt, Bad crc thing again. Downloaded the thing using the firefox download bit, not the ign one. Same issue.

Memtest 86 is reporting errors so it looks like my machine needs some new (or rather RMAd memory).
