View Full Version : [1.17] Many bugs...

Once again I encountered many bugs:
1. Voice echo's, when a soldier talks you hear kind of an echo in the background, it's anoying and disturbing.
2. Wrong voices for engineers, when you assign them something you will hear them as regular engineers but sometimes when they are done with something they have a airborne voice.
3. Enemies capture points less fast now but create units like hell (I'm talking about NPC's now.) (They nearly have always tanks right after you got a couple points on the map.).
4. It could be an accidental error that I got one time, but when you press the scroll bar near how much resources you want it will start the game. (Not sure if it always happens.)
5. Background music, it's anoying as hell.
For singleplayer music is good, but it distracts me way too much in multiplayer. An option to turn it off would come in handy because it really damages my gameplay.
To be honest I don't even like patch 1.17, it all was better before....

1.) Echo is in specific parts of the map.
3.) You are official the first prophesized person complaining that the AI is too good.
5.) You can turn off the music in the options menu. Audio tab.

2 seems the only bug there as for 4 unless your absolutely sure on that one

I complain about 3 because you are building barracks, supply depot and weapon support, and then the NPC's can already build tanks.
That's unfair, the NPC's get a quick build bonus or something like that and it's just anoying.
Anyway 1 is also a bug, since I hear that on the whole map, and on EACH map.
And if it isn't a bug, it's very unrealistic.
About 5 I didn't knew that option, so thanks for telling that.

By the way I'm far way not the FIRST who complains about that the NPC's make tanks way too quick, I might be the first who "Reports it" but if you look in the Chat-channel's (especially Omaha) you see that alot of people complain.
I found alot of people who agree that tanks are build way too fast, if you don't then just ask people in the Chat channels about what they think from it.
Some people don't know or don't visit the Relic forums, others just don't want to submit (which is sad, however they cannot be forced to do so) things they find.
But in the Chat channels people do complain together - which I also check to see if more people have the bugs.
And one more thing, the 4th "bug" was like I thought myself an error, or just something weird happened at that moment since it doesn't repeat anymore.

Only #2 is a bug and has been added to the list.

I'm with druid. Good AI isn't a bug.

It's not about good "AI".
Ok how about this - on normal difficulty it's meant that the NPC's will play around the same as you right?
But when you are, doesn't matter if you are allied or axis, still building infantry - and I tell you I heard alot of people (experienced aswell) complaining that the enemy builds StuG tanks way too fast - your enemy already attacks with StuG's.
Now on easy and normal it won't be so very worse, since it only affect's the time the game will take since they have more ressistance. (For example, they overhelm one or two of your points but they don't push on too far though so you can build some forces.)
But in hard and expert it's getting impossible, even with the: "tank-obstacle" and "anti tank gun got 1 hit bugs", you cannot stop their tanks which is mean.
For example I played with my mate on expert, I know that you probally know how it is aswell but it's an example.
Then you try to take all positions but they move up very quick and with large forces you you already got to retreat to build defenses. Now as I said anti tank and tank obstacles are useless because of their bugs - you cannot build tanks yourself either, so what are your defenses against tanks then? If you are lucky you can spam 5 at guns, and they will take like 2 tanks out, but never more, since you get killed to fast.
So the anoying is:
1. They make tanks TOO fast
2. They can go through tank obstacles because of a bug
3. Because of an idea or because of a bug now AT get's one hit.
On easy: Disturbing but not affecting much.
On normal: Disturbing when you finally thought you once gained 75% of the map.
On hard: Getting worse already... you can have real hard times now.
On expert: If you survive this then you must be a RTS king.
