Problem with the 1.17 Full Client install - says it's version 1.0

I don't have a key, I don't have the game.

I wanted to download it to view replays, do the tutorial (done) and maybe lend a friend's account.

So I downloaded the full 1.17 client from fileplanet (I dunno why but I can't enter URLs in this message), sat up all night and waited for it to complete.

HOWEVER

When I right click on the exe file (only way to find out version I guess) and check what version it is it says 1.0.0.246

Can someone else that has the working 1.17 patch check what it says on the .exe file aswell? (Right click > properties > version)

I'm unable to watch replays, that's how I found out that I didn't have the newest version, I've tried with new (1.17) replays, and also alot of old replays (unknown patches).


So is it fileplanet that has done a mistake and forgot to include the patch in the install, or am I missing something here?
Am I supposed to install the patch from a different file that came with the download?

What you get when you download: I file called "CoHBeta_1_17_0".

You then double click on "CoHBeta_1_17_0", then an unzip window opens, I unzip it.

The files that gets unzipped: "Company_of_Heroes_BETA"(which is the file I used to isntall the game with) and "Data1.cab" (Unknown file that opens in WinRar, alot of files inside there again)

Maybe I'm supposed to do something with the "Data1.cab" file? In that case: What?

There is no readme file in the download.

Any (I mean ANY) help is appreciated. Atleast someone can check what version the .exe file says.

EDIT: Ok I managed to log on with my friends account, so I got the latest patch. Only a display bug in the .exe file I guess.

Old replays before the 800mb patch and the new client will not work due to major changes to the game and balance. The exe i have is also at 1.0.0.246. sometimes with patches and updates, the executable itself is not updated, but the archives where the actual game data is.
