View Full Version : Problem with connection to Relic online

Well I tried the SP demo watched a few replays looks A1. Pre-ordered the game finally got a Beta code, right..
Yet I keep getting the above error. Even took router off no firewall at all still problems.
Managed to get in once then 'lost connection to relic online' and a goto Main Menu button.
Looked at server status and it mentions 'problems over weekend' was that last weekend.
I know it's a BETA but is this typical or just me?

I cant imagine it not being a firewall issue of some sort.
I was having a similar problem just yesterday, and came to find out my internal IP had changed somehow (so ports were being forwarded to the wrong port).
Try the following once:
- 'Start' click 'Run'
- In the box that pops up enter 'MSCONFIG' and press ok
- Click the 'Services' tab
- Check the 'Hide All Microsoft Services'
- Click 'Disable All'
- Press 'Ok' and it should have you reboot
And just to double check make sure Windows firewall is off. Also, someone here from the forums will also sooner or later ask you to post a log from here: http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ Just install the program, and have it 'Scan/Log' at once.

Mmmm,
Well I've played a lot of games without issues I have actually managed to connect just get a warning message all the time.
Managed to play a game without probs didn't have a clue what I was doing mind, just to play the Comp would be ideal.
After an hour I gave up cancel pre-order for now see if it settles in future demo.
Doh looked really good as well.

Servers could just be bogged down for now. And if you are cancelling a pre-order due to a bug in a beta, then you probably have never beta tested before.

Aha so it's not just me, phew.
Funds are hard to come by atm I'am looking for something else to pass the time but really don't want to waste money.
I'm sure Relic will sort it their support is normally A1.

Post a log file from http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt please, along with a warnings.log and dxdiag.txt.
