The game is failing to load the OpenGL API, which is a fallback in case you don't have Glide.

I need your:
Direct X version
Video Card type and Driver version

Also, see my post in your Video Card thread.

Okay, I really need to know what version of windows you are using and also what version your drivers are but a general fix would be to update the Video Card drivers to their latest version.

Windows 98 Detonator 41.09 (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=win9x_41.09)

Windows 2000/XP Detonator 41.09 (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_41.09)

Windows XP comes in three flavors:
Home, which has some of it's more advanced features disabled
Professional, which is equivalent to 2000 professional/server
Enterprise, like Pro but can be installed on multiple computers and doesn't have to be registered.

Office is Microsoft's collection of software, like Word or Excel, that is used in an office enviroment.

To find your Video Card Drivers in Windows XP:
Click Start
Click Control Panel
Switch to Classic View
Double Click System
When the Dialog pops up, click the Device Manager tab
click the "+" next to Video Adapters, This will tell you the manufacturer(Nvidia)and type(Geforce 2 MX 400) of your Video Card
Double Click the adapter(Nvidia Geforce 2 MX 400)
Click the Driver Tab
Click the Driver Files Details button
Below the white box there should be three lines of text separated by a blank line. The second one should be "File Version" and have several numbers after it, like mine says 4.13.01.4109.
You're interested in only the last four numbers, if they're not 4109 then update your drivers. It's a 16.3 MB download so it could take a couple of hours depending on your dial-up speed or no time at all if you DSL or a Cable Modem.

That should fix it, if it doesn't something else is fudged.

It's like when I first got HW I loaded it and I exactly 15 seconds past the first NIS and the camera would go all wonky. Turns out the third party soundcard I had installed was conflicting somehow. Needless to say I jerked that puppy out and have enjoyed HW ever since.
