Autry
The German 7th Army has begun its withdrawal from Normandy. Having only limited escape routes, Panzers and Tiger tanks are called in to keep the escape routes open as long as possible. Capt. Shultz and the remains of his elite Tigergroupen are guarding one such escape route.

I got myself 3 ranger squad with bazooka on, and manage to just rape that ace due to the fact that the attack is slow and flanking it from the back.. Yet another solution.

easy way to kill ace without losing a single tank.
Build 2 at guns and place them behind the wall on the left (near your base)
Let the tiger ace come to you
Use the pershing as meat shield (remember to repair)
rinse and repeat until that monster stops showing up at your base
Go kill all the tanks on the left side or the right side of the map until you have enough for calliope. (watch out for at guns, snipe em out)
Calliope tiger ace to hell; by then, you should have enough ammo to do that.

I let my AT guns do all the killing, get 4 or 5 of them lined up and lure the tiger ace over with a sniper, won't take much before he retreats and you can quite literally inch forward. I got it down to 24% before it stopped coming and it died the moment i scouted where it was since i had 5 AT guns aimed at the spot.

LoL i pulversied the area with 3 Calliope strikes before moving in 3 Veteran Shermans and my Pershing
he was at 28% armour

I just laid mines from the intersection at my base up until that first panzer(?) on the left side of the road. Ol' Schultzie rolled obligingly down the road, got a damaged engine, then I took my Pershing up and nailed his rear armor as he retreated.
Took 2-3 times but wasn't too tough. I didn't even explore the left side of the map, so I missed out on the 20 vehicle kills badge, but I finished the mission pretty easily.

This mission was genuinely FUN to play, I think.
Is the Tank Ace's stats in this mission identical to what they are in multiplayer, or is it unnaturally buffed for this mission? Because I'm going to be like "OMFG" the first time someone rolls a Tiger Ace on me in multi :D
Also, I noticed that when he decides to Retreat, you can't injure him. At all. I had my Pershing chase him for half the map, firing 90mm into his rear armor, and his health didn't go down at all. Is this intentional, a bug, or what?

im not sure about the retreat protection part.
but i found this map the most fun assault map. well, may be because i like tanks going head to head.
i first capped the right fuel point for fuel. then i started moving up on the left. during every push, the Tiger comes forward and was almost always got flanked by my tank destroyer. and it only came 3 times in total. the 3 stripped tank destroyer really can do lots damange to the Tiger's back armour.
i was going to go up left and destroy the Tiger from the side, but was forced back due to the heavy defence. and my sniper got stuck by a Tiger and was killed in action. so i decided to get 3 rocket Shermans and bombed the hell out of the 28% Tiger ace.

Once I stabilized my lines, I performed a pincer assault - two tank armies, one running up each side. My left-side one was the heavier one, with the Pershing, an M10, Calliope, and a plain Sherman (Another Pershing, later) with some supporting Engineers and Rangers.
On the right, I used a Calliope, M10, and a Greyhound (for point capping, seeing as I played Armored). I just rolled 'em back, and every time Schultz sallies forward, he runs smack into the left side, deployed in a defensive position anchored by the Pershing. He rolls up and starts trading fire with the Pershing, and I simultaniously let the Sherman shoot him in the side, the M10 slip around the back to go for the rear armor, and the Calliope drops a barrage on his head. I reliably knocked off 20% of his health every time he did this, too bad he only ran into this defense twice, and was immune to damage while retreating.
I used my right flank to draw out the Tiger on that side, smashed it by flanking it with both the Grayhound and M10, and the Calliope dropped rockets on it. The Panzer IV that I discovered just at the edge of sight as I killed it nailed my poor Grayhound, but I just had my M10 slide up behind it and give it some 76mm lovin'.
My heavier left flank just crushed that little walled-in village-like place just before the road, and then I brought both flanks crashing down on the center, where poor Schultz lay waiting with his two Ostwind buddies. He didn't get more than a few shots off as two Pershings took him from the front, two M10s from the rear, and 2 Calliopes simultaniously barraged rockets at him.
Yeah.... he really WAS one tough kraut.

I was having troubles gaining the medal for this level, so this afternoon I dedicated myself to getting it.
It cost me a couple shermans, once they got caught between 2 panzers they were pretty much toast. I kept my Pershing alive through the whole mission though, he was quite the veteran by the end. Probabaly could have taken that Ace on by himself.
First thing was to get out 2 AT guns, and stick them behind the stone wall just North of your HQ. Give them overlapping fields of fire. These will handle any Ostwinds that come wandering into your vicinity. They are also potent enough to drive off Schultz, as long as you put up a Meat shield in front of them.
I cranked out a Sherman and a greyhound, upgraded the Sherman with the MG and the 'hound with armor skirts. Sent the 2 of them along with a rifle squad to the East to capture that point, and the ammo point to the north of it. Be warned, the tiger ace will routinely come to this side of the map, he doesn't always stick to the middle.
Created a couple of snipers and sent them up the Western edge of the map to clear out Panzershrek teams and MG nests. Then sent my Pershing and another rifle squad NW to capture the nearest ammo point. Retreated the Pershing to HQ to serve as meat shield, as needed.
Either created a new Sherman or brought the one from the East side of map over and continued north from the western Ammo point. Use the snipers as scouts and preliminary strike teams, and bring your riflemen (now armed with a panzershrek) along to capture points. Created a barracks on the cluster of buildings at the next supply point.
Once the Tiger ace is sufficiently wounded, he will stop raiding and park that tank somewhere. You need to keep that in mind, so you don't wander into his field of fire.
Took the Pershing and Sherman north, up the hill, on the west side of the map. Knocked out some mortar teams and proceeded to kill halftrack after halftrack. they seemed to come in from the western edge of the map, drive to the intersection and turn left, then vanish off the northern edge of the map. Presumably, these are the axis forces that are in full retreat. It's an easy way to get the number of kills required for the medal.
Blow the axis HQ in the NW corner away, and bring up some engineers to repair your tanks. Proceed Eastward, beware the AT guns and snipers around the 2nd HQ. Clean it out and then circle back to the south.
I used my Greyhound to distract all the tanks in the area (including the tiger ace, he was at about 25% armor) while my Pershing and Sherman rolled in from the north. I quickly wiped the map of all the secondary tanks (Panzers, Ostwinds) and then spanked the Ace.
Got the medal, had 2 veteran tanks and snipers to match.

I found this mission was rather easy since the Tiger Ace stops attacking you once it drops to around 30% of its hitpoints. So all I did was set up a defensive line of two 57mm guns, the Pershing out in front to absorb the hits, and some panzerschreck-equipped riflemen to help. Schultz would show up with an Ostwind and some Stormtroopers, take a few hits, and back off without doing anything more than 15% to the Pershing. Repeat process until Schultz stops attacking and retreats to the town.
Then you can systematically visit all the resource points and capture them, killing all the Panzer IVs and Tigers that are idling at various locations. The last few Panzer IVs are right outside the town, and one flanks Schultz, so carefully attack them without damaging Schultz and you should be able to get the 20 tank kills. Then just pound Schultz from a distance with 57mm's or artillery or rocket barrages or bombing runs or whatever. He won't budge from his position.
At no time during the mission did I ever get attacked at my main base, so you can focus all your resources into one mobile force. The Tiger Ace will only head for your main force, no matter where they are, so be sure to have the Pershing positioned where you want Schultz to show up, and your back-up forces behind it.

I found this mission to be a cakewalk compared to the previous one. Man, I HATED Mission 13.
Because the Krauts don't attack you continually, you get a lot more breathing room in this map. Bascially it is a mop up operation and you can go slow taking each point one at a time. Did it the first time round at normal difficulty.
What I did:
1) Built 3 Shermans on top of the 1 Sherman and 1 Pershing I had.
2) Built 3 teams of engineers.
3) Built a veteran sniper.
Mission Analysis:
1) The first thing I noticed was that you don't have any growth in your ammunition resource. You start with 500 and +0 growth. That basically restricted the upgrades I could give my troops.
2) The focus was to capture an ammo point to start giving me some growth. Because this was a tank vs tank map, the first upgrade I gave was the 76mm barrel upgrade to my Shermans. I didn't even bother with the BAR upgrade or the .50 caliber coax upgrades.
3) I used 1 Sherman, 1 rifleman and 1 engineer probe the right ammo point. Contacted some German troops and made short work of them. Capped the point and pushed north from that point.
4) That's when I ran into the Tiger Ace and I shat my pants. Managed to scratch him with two shots and his armor was still 96%! In the meantime, I pulled back and had the engineers repair my battered Sherman. Strangely enough, he didn't pursue or it would have been game over for my intrepid Sherman.
5) Called up reinforcements and pushed the Pershing and 1 Sherman to the right side of the map. Probe north again and the Tiger Ace mauled up my tanks. But with three tanks instead of one and riflemen throwing stickies, I got him down to about 70%. The Tiger retreats after awhile and it starts releasing a smoke screen which explains how your cannon shots keep missing when he retreats.
6) Called up my remaining two new Shermans and used five tanks to give the bugger a real slugging. This time, I got him below 30% and he ran like a pussy to his base. My tanks were pretty badly mauled though, but I didn't lose any.
7) From that point on it was quite easy. I used my sniper to scope out the north ammo point from my base. Sniped out mortar, MG and AT crews. Pulled my tanks back to base and pushed north to cap the high value ammo point. Destroyed two panzers in the process.
8) Rinse and repeat with sniper taking out the AT crews and the tanks rolling in to mop up armor.
9) After a while, you reach the base and I cleared out the northwest part of the base. By this time I was already at 19/20 enemy vehicles. I wanted that medal!
10) Pushed east and, lo and behold, the Tiger Ace was sitting there. Had all five tanks dishing out tough love and he was toast. Made him my 20th kill and the mission ended.

alright, what i did is set the M10, pershing, and M4 at the enterance of ur base, with 2 more AT gun behind sand bags
then i send 2 rifle squads to the left side of the map, capture the point. by then the tiger ace will start to roll toward you, so i basically let the 2 squads throw some sticky bombs before retreating. after a while the tiger and other following tanks will retreat.
reinforce all the lost members, get 2 more rangers, send them back to the point at the left side of the map.
also send two snipers and a AT gun to there, snipe off the machine gunner, AT guns, and finish the panzer IV before assulting the point. if the tiger ace comes again, just throw 4-7 sticky bombs before retreating.
thats what i did until there are only 2 points left to capture. and if u r lucky, u should have serveal vetern ATs and snipers at ur hands. call in 2-3 rocket barrages to finish off the panzer IV parked near the tiger ace. then call ur pershing and upgunned M4 to finish the bastard off!

Overall an easy mission. However, did anyone else have trouble with tiger tanks seaking out your snipers? I had a cloaked veteran sniper taking out all sorts of Germans and then the tiger ace started one of his attack runs. Instead of going for my base like usual it seemed to be headed along the left side near where my sniper was. I moved my sniper well away from the road but then the tiger turned towards him. I hid behind a wall and then the tank came around the wall and straight at him. He was still cloaked and no one was shooting at him but it was clear he was a target. It was kind of scary with the big tank chasing him. I ran him into some nearby woods and the tiger followed, trapping him. I was moving him all over trying to escape. Eventually, trapped against a wall, the tiger would back up and surge forwards over and over until he ran the sniper over. It was like a personal vendetta. It added a strange role-playing aspect to the game. I made 3 more snipers and they were all killed by tigers hunting them down. I even had the ace come back out from hiding at 12% armor, ignore the squad of tanks firing at him, and go straight for the sniper. He got the sniper and then died.
This mission isn't very hard, just go airborn, kill tanks with airdropped At's. And after that get a bombing run.
I brought down it health to 30% and then did 1 bombing run... Tiger down.

Hardest part of this mission was keeping that black tiger alive long enough to get 20 kills for the medal.
I just picked away at him while holding the very bottom, he comes to each of the next points north when harassed. I just kept picking at him until he got scared and went to sit at the cross roads. Then I got enough cp for a second pershing and made two armies, one on each side led by a pershing. went from point to point northbound until I got near the cross roads. Then sent a pershing up on the very edge as far from the tiger as possible. I think I had 13 kills by the time I got to the top road. Was getting worried until I found the halftrack spawn point and just wasted all of them until I got twenty kills. Then hit the black tiger from all angles and he was toast.
Very easy mission and medal just need a little patience and dont kill him till you get twenty notches on your gun.

Played it on Hard and found it no trouble at all. The tiger ace comes to you and with a Pershing along with three up gunned shermans it is easy enough to keep beating back his attacks. When I had enough CP for a second Pershing I blew him to pieces. As for 25 kills, no chance. What's the point of a level that you have to artificially make longer just to get a medal? I killed the Tiger ace with just 10 axis tanks destroyed. I could do 25 for the medal but what is the point?

Note: For medal, halftracks spawn on both east and west road at the top, as long as you have no troops near the spawn points. All you have to do is park tanks behind the Tiger Ace at the exit point (behind the crossroads, where the road exits the map at the middle top), and wait for the halftracks to try and escape. About 2 minutes later you can torch the Tiger Ace. I always try and make sure he dies last (so, even losing tanks), I always go for every other tank first, including the two Ostwinds..

Normal level
The tiger ace is very aggressive, he will attack every time my tanks move out the HQ area.
He will come with some normal tanks/vehicles, when all the normal tanks/vehicles are destroyed, he will withdraw.
Set a trap for him near my HQ, let Pershing take all the hits, engineers behind it to repair it, other tanks and AT a little behind the Persing. Build a triage center to make sure both engineers and AT can be automatically healed. Move one Sherman tank out to attack enemy units and withdraw to the HQ when the tiger ace move out. The tiger ace will stop to come out when his hit-points become less than 30%.
Once the tiger ace stop to come out, send tanks to take points one by one, after taking each point, use tank traps and barbed wire to block the area and build two machine gun nests to protect the point. It is slow but once it is done, there will be no need to worry about the taken point.
To get the medal, let sniper to find enemy tanks, then move two Sherman tanks very close to one enemy tank to attack it. This way, it will be difficult for enemy tank to escape when it is seriously damaged.
Send sniper to enemy base and call artillery to destroy enemy units and buildings.
After taking all points and destroyed all enemy units and buildings, let sniper to make the tiger ace visible, move AT guns close to the tiger ace but a little out of the range, move Pershing tank before AT as meat-shield. Then let AT fire at max range toward the direction of the tiger ace, AT shells will destroy the tiger ace very easily(the tiger ace will not move or shoot back).
Hope this is helpful.

Compared to the previous missions this map was stupid hype.
No more strategy involved. This map is very narrow to make it even simpler and duller.
The lameness of this mission is increased by a sniper seeking Tiger that gets spawned if you try to use snipers on their own, alone far ahead, to take out heavy weapon teams. It homes in on your sniper with perfect accuracy.
The enemy infantry that runs away when you assault its positions does not ever come back, they leave the map with their panzershrecks and all.
You can just sit in your base and gather resources for an hour if you like. The Tiger ace will not attack until one of your units (even a sniper) enters a hostile area.
Stockpile and build a couple of AT guns and max your pop. Then attack. Easiest mission ever.
This mission sucks. The 2 previous ones were tough, but at least interesting. This whole Tiger Ace thing (with his invulnerability when retreating) is just like some anime BS for script.
EDIT: There are 2 normal Tigers, one in each territory second to last, furthest from your perspective (flanking the Ace from afar, in a way). They are at the far corner of their territories and they attack any unit that enters it (even camouflaged snipers, they can't see em, but run em over), but retreat if the unit leaves the territory. Easy to bait and kill, but still... I hate the scripts in this mission. The Tiger Ace attacks 4 times and leaves after taking 20% damage each time. Then it just sits there and you can easily mortar him to death...

Yep, he's the gunner
Voss mentions in the end cenematic that he held the americans long enough at autry to allow the 7th army to escape, and that he died in his tiger, tough dude.

I tried to kill the Tiger Ace with some off-map artillery when he was just sitting there, and that didn't even affect him at all.
Kinda cheap, but the mission was so easy anyway I wasn't terribly upset.

This mission is weird yet cool. I always start it off by getting my 76mm. THe majority of my play on this mission is taking and keeping the 2 points right in the front of my base.....idk why, maybe im not agressive enough but i take the ammo point then it takes me 30 minutes to fully secure it and move on. The rest of the map is cake and that Tiger Ace....he just has alot of Hitpoints and a Vaporizer Machinegun, true story. I once had like 2 squads of massively Elite Riflemen who had Shreck's, BAR's and like a whole campaign of combat experience, I had the same squads for like 10 runs through the Yankee Campaign. i was going after the fuel to the right of my base and they got caught in the front of the Ace and I saw like 50,000 tracers fly across the screen and like simultaneously saw like 20 +1s and my squad was just plain dead instantly, ive seen it happen a time or 2 before, its quite annoying to lose some serious elite units in less then a second...

Tiggergrupen was used blitzkreig doctrine.
this mission is easy since the only thing you need is flank the Tiger Ace,a lot of sherman graveyard.the tiger can reveal any cloacked sniper(the sniper still cloacked yet ,the ostwind is still not shoot him)& try run over it(since Panther&Tiger can kill infantry just by step on it)and sniper is KIA
Tiger ace in here have a few ability which we cant gain at Terror doctrine
-smoke canister, make the Divine until the tiger return to that escape route.
-stealth detection, can even seek my 3 sniper without opening its camo
-Tougher armor&weapon
And yet a few thing to discover
-Volksgreandier holding panzershreck?
-A few cloacked Stromtropers
-3 Tiger(Not an ACE/King)
Get the high fuel&ammo point 16+,secure it build some MG camp, upgrade sherman to better gun&smoke screen, have 3 M10,1 M26,1Sherman,&1Crocodile ,have M26& 3 M10 to attack its rear armor, wave by wave its should easy for Armor.
Same like Before, but you need to invest points on paratropper,Air strike later.Concern on make AT crew ,Got 2 free panzershreck in the left side after the 16+amno points, when they come flank its rear armor with panzershreck&bait the tiger withCloacked sniper its should work, throw stickybomb at early will cause engine damage/destroyed keep doing same way until got bombing run you will see 2 panzer IV guarding the tiger, bomb em through vertical line for Air company.Good luck
