In my battles with the AI I've encountered only three real major problems with it.
1) The AI has either an extended sight range or sight on the entire map. AI tanks, snipers, and AT guns in particular will engage from ranges that should be impossible without a supporting unit giving LOS. This leads to AT guns in particular being incredibly annoying infantry/tank/building snipers that are constantly opening up on you from maximum range (that should be impossible without a second unit spotting), forcing you to abandon your positions every time it happens to go chase down the AT gun across some very long distances (during which it usually manages to kill a few of your infantry unless you have something to hide behindwhile moving out to it).
2) Anticipation of artillery/panzerfausts/target orders almost immediately after they are given. While I understand that the AI should move out of an artillery strike after the smoke pops, it's annoying to see them start running away several seconds before any visual cues of the incoming strike are visible. Similarly, the AI will often move vehicles the moment you target them with an anti-tank ability such as the panzerfaust.
3) The AI does not destroy tank traps or barbed wire. It is incredibly easy to simply drop a wire/tank trap combo on a choke point and forget about it for the rest of the game.
