Does anyone know if there is a zoom mod available like the one for Dawn of War?
I really need to zoom out further :monkey:

I remember hearing something about someone doing something, but I can't remember where.
Anyway, check out camera.lua inside data/

You can zoom out further by editing camera.lua, but you get more fog so it is pointless at the moment. The camera DefaultHeight = 35 meter, I increased it to 50. This value is still not disturbing by fog.
Just put in FOW_RevealAll into the console ^_^
Its ctrl+shift+` to bring up the console. Also that command is cap sensitive.
You can also put that into each "map name.scar"

FOW_RevealAll do not remove that kind of fog I mentioned. FOW_RevealAll only removes shadowed area on the map.
Youre thinking of FOW_Toggle. Try it out ;)

Ok. FOW_RevealAll removes shadowed area on the map and make every unit visible. FOW_Toggle removes/backups shadowed area on the map. None of them can handle fog than come from zoom out problem. Believe me.:)
hahaha i know my pc can't either. Hell im using a laptop cause my desktop crashes after 5 minutes of gameplay.
I think its the psu..

thanks for the replies so far, I'll try it tonight. Still hope there is going to be a mod like DoW though :)

I saw someone had modified the camera.lua file and dropped into the COH data dir. Then they added -dev to their shortcut.
I extracted mine from the tools but couldn't get that to work so I edited it directly and as my predecessor did.
I made more drastic mods to mine and then created a separate dev shortcut
I put my default view overhead and zoomed out so I can see a large portion of the map.
I am still tweaking this but will attach my mod so others can compare and change if they wish - may be extreme for some but I was going for the 2D for default
Rename the camera.txt to camera.lua before placing in the COH\WW2\data dir

Thanks for this! It`s working fine. You just have to start the game with the "dev shortcut"
