This is pretty much the ideal RTS engine I've been envisioning for the past few years. So much capability for modding, I know there's tons of ideas out there already in design.

Each unit in this game actually feels different in the way it plays, unlike where most rts games each unit is only different because of it's numerical stats.

If they could change it so the bullet based weapons couldn't fire through raised ground, then it'd be a lot better.

The rest of it is pretty good. A few anomalies turn up now and again, but it is pretty sound, yes. I love the dynamic use of cover, one of the best features in an RTS in recent times.

Yep, I love how the units each play a role from the beginning to the end of the game. Riflemen/volks always have a use. Even light vehicles have their uses. It's one of the first RTS's I've played that's really tactical, requiring a combined arms approach. In others, you can just mass the most powerful unit to destroy your enemy. I think the only other really tactical games I've played are the Total War series.

I've never really liked RTS games and I've always felt that WWII is totally overrepresented in computer games, but for some reason I picked up CoH and it is definitely the most fun I've had gaming in a long, long time. Good job Relic!

Here I thought I finally broke into the RTS genre, but only Coh rocks my boat.
