lol classic this is before i activated "delete_on_death = false" for bodies, so all the bodies you see are wounded germans outside my US base after being beaten all the way back to my fortress. my AI mate got munched by germans too!!! crazy germans. anyways i held out for 30 mins before i finally gave up lol

WOOW! Is it possible that you upload your mod on (for example) rapidshare?
If I change the delete_when_dead parameter nothing will happen.

sure, i was going to finish off my mod and compile it for download anyways
its not just bodies everywhere, its new units, more men in squad, cheaper units allround, tanks weaker but cheaper (except german tanks are more $$$ and more HP and damage etc crazy machines of death) and some new guns (german prototype AK series assault rifles, and prototype M14 for US) etc.. and higher resource income from points, longer ranges and sight for all troops and tanks/anti-tanks

PS. heres another pic. this is of my surviving US base... haha my SMG fireteams are desparately trying to make more sandbags and tanktraps to keep out the germans.. like they swarm like bugs lol

Sounds great (and looks great)! Thx for this! But can you maybe offer 2 Mods? One full mod with your changes and an only dead body mod? That would be great!! :bow:

you DO know that the dead body changes have to assigned to ALL soldiers in the game (or at least the ones that you want to stick around lol) so that means that if you only want the vanilla units perma dead then sure, i can do that easy

Yes, I know, I changed every soldier class (axies and allies). Your trick with the wounded soldiers work, only the dead bodies disappear, but I want them also to stay ;). -> see screenshot for more info, all correct, or?

well, have you tried deleting the "delete_when_dead" line?

PS: another thing you might want to try is changing "death_seconds" to around 6000. thats 1 hour of dead people lol

PSS: after testing the "death_seconds" line being changed from 1 to anything does not have any effect. neither does "delete_when_dead" if you delete it or make it false.

its POSSIBLE that the time they take to disappear is related to what graphics settings you have on at the time. im on lowish graphics so that i can handle the long-term build-up of bodies. but it isnt that bad even on the game/round/map thingo that the screenshots were from. oh well. maybe someone else can find it. i shall keep trying of course

Soooo, does your mod only keep the injured bodies? or the dead bodies too? I mean it does not have to be forever, 10 or 20 minutes would do, I just don't like it when it dissappears after 30 secs or so.

well, my mod keeps WOUNDED men on the field. not dead or exploded body parts. :( and its not "forever" its for up to 1 hour, sometimes 45 mins. thats plenty of time to count as "forever"

Aha, in your first screenshot, the soldier bodies are only wounded? I thought there are dead bodies too.
