Is it possible to either give missiles navlights or to put them on turrets so that they can have recoil (I don't much care for the movement)? I'd like these answers ASAP. Thanks.

From what I've heard, missile launchers on turrets won't work--turret guns need to be type "GUN_NewGimble" and missile launchers need to be "GUN_MissileLauncher."
Don't know about missile navlights, but the missile has a .mex and .shp, so theoretically it should be possible. Then again, theoretically, a lot of things should be possible that aren't...

Thanks, though I was really hoping that you could have a missile gun have recoil. Guess I'll have to scrap that part of the idea...
I'll try out the missile navlights myself later.

I've repeatedly tried to add navlights to the EA missiles in GW3, to simulate an engine glow, but they just don't want to appear on the mesh in-game...

navlights, guns, etc.... dont work on missiles sadly :(

I'll just re-affirm that as well :(
i tried... tried out several different ideas, because i reEEAALLLY wanted either 1) a missile with gunpoints , or 2) a glowing ball of energy for a missile in HW (quasi-energy cannon from Cata)
Nothing worked. Missiles are generated by the .etg files as a bullet object. the ship file and folder are just there to provide the model, and the movement details for it, as well as providing a collision sphere (if it runs into something else along the way) and the RCT (hit detection box) so you could shoot them down if you wanted to.
for some reason, no other .mex features work.... none at all, and you can't even add engine glows instead of a trail.
