Ok. Shameless piece of advertising here.:p I first started playing this game 4 years ago, and have been active for almost all of that. Recently, we've been loosing players, so we've decided to go out and recruit some new ones! Here comes the hard sell...

About Jottonia
Jottonia is a massively multiplayer nation simulation based around a fantasy stock market. The aim - make as much money as possible by buying and selling shares. Or you might get a job as a freelancer or a lawyer, maybe a politician. You might even have your own way to make money!

What makes Jottonia special?
In Jottonia, every player is a part of the game. Every player influences events. If a lot of players panic and sell everything, the price drops. Also, Jottonia is a dynamic game, new improvements being continuously developed. Players may offer advice and skills to improve the game.

What does it cost?
Absolutely nothing. Just register and start playing. If you want to contribute to the game, you can purchase aristocracy (at £2.50 a month) which gives you a whole raft of additional features.

Where can I find it?
You can find it at www.jottonia.no.

If you join, then mail me in game telling me who you are and I'll give you a little present for joining!

Try Nationstates.net for a free simulator. And look for Moskionia while you're there!

Tried it. I feel it relies to heavily on roleplaying to be interesting as a game as well as a nation simulator. And its nation simulation isn't that good either...
Jottonia combines them both perfectly.

Well I have thought of joining, but I have no idea what a Nation simulator is and what it looks like. The info is very brief.

In jottonia you are a part of the nation. There's a parliament, stock exchange, university etc.

In nationstates, you run a nation.

When registering, what do people typically put for a description? Like philosophy or personal appearance?

Whatever you want. Most people don't put much to start off with, but use it to describe particular achievements within the game - like getting jobs or acheiving a certain place in the rankings.

You could put a little description about yourself, but remember not to put any personal details. Just a couple of sentences.

On the subject of prefs, once you've joined, search for a player called turtles are cool. Read his prefs...
