[As Tau]
When I attacked this base I've nearly the full load of Honour Guards, so the initial rush is fairly easy to be defeated. That consists of Scouts, SM and some Hellfire DNs, which can all be dispatched in a short time.
Next, the Whirlwinds. They aren't accurate but hurts if hit, and they're just annoying. Send out Stealthsuits to kill them.
Once the Whirlwinds are gone you can feel free to build up the base, but before going to other places, go for the Orbital Relay first. those who played Demo should remembered that their attack forces are undone by Orbital Strikes, which is not pleasant.
The Orbital Relay itself isn't so heavily defended at first, so just send some company with your guys (but don't send too much or they'll be fried) and capture the Relay. Afterwards, build LP2 and some turrets there.
Barracks: They're annoying as well. Without Orbital Strikes you can just use the same forces to mop up the Barracks nearby. Easy money.
Relic: There'll be loads of enemy units in the ridges nearby on the routes to there, so proceed with caution. If you have got the Orbital Strike, cast it around the Relic and kill everything including Turrets. Capture the Relic.
Main Base: You can just ignore everything and attack the main base directly. There'll be loads of Missile Turrets and LP2s, so you may want to use Orbital Strikes or Missile Barrages upon every inches of road before you, or just send in Infantry in first and kill the turrets with vehicles.
The last lines of defence isn't too hard if you prepared lots of anti-Heavy Infantry weapons already. Kill the Stronghold and it's over.

[As Guardsmen, Hardest difficulty]
Much easier then you'd think - the initial troops can wipe out non-honour guard units, so make sure you have a few from previous territories. It is made easier if you garrison your HQ too :)
Since you likely can't get past several defensive squads of space marines to take care of the Whirlwind, you have to wait until you get vehicles (I waited for Leman Russ tanks). Attacks of scouts are pretty easy to take care of, especially if you have honour guard assassins, or any kind of armour, and something to detect them - turrets work wonders. They don't attack with a great deal else.
With the Space Marines being immune to morale in the beginning, Basiliks are not as powerful as normal. They do, however, take the cake for making this level easy as anything else. You can finish objectives before you even reach the area with the earthshaker rounds. Invest in power and the requisition bonus researches, and you can keep in your base until you have a few.
If you make it near the Space Marine base, you can simply bombard it from a distance to make it easy, or go head in like I did. Tanks are recommended, since a mass of infantry dies very fast to the honour guard units the space marines have.
The secondary bases are pretty easy to take care of once you build up a force. Splitting in two, especially using earthshaker rounds to take care of entrenched buildings, makes clearing them up pretty easy. A lack of infiltration-detecting units and turrets also means assassins can get around the map quite easily as spotters.

As Ig: Build up an army and go after the orbital relay. After that use the long ranged scanner on the sm base and boom orbital easy.
Necrons: My technique was to get the lord into the base ASAP. I have him equipped with teleporter. Get him into their base he dies yeah yeah.... Then just have a few necron warriors defending and have some flayed ones ready to ds. If they die just get some more, reborn the necron lord and use his resserection orb ability. Keep doing this and the enemy will be gone.

Eldar:
Deploy a couple of turrets, these should fight off the groups of attackers (Upgrade your LP wioth Turrets though) basicly build up your force, get Max FP and the full cap of 3 WS's , some Fire dragons help towards the end but you can live without em, fill everything as as you see fit (Not real point getting transports though) your turrts can probably take care of the attackers, the odd Assault Marine Honour guard presents a little problem as well the odd scout squad that can stay out of range your turrets with Sniper Rifles (But these are very rare)
Gather up your force and head for the Orbital relay, on the way there a group of Landspeeders will fire at you from a hill, jujst order your troops to keep moving and chances are they will destroy these while their moving anyway.
Head up the back of the Orbital relay sight, once you destroy it a Orbital strike will bear down on you about a minute after, head straight to the East gate of the fortress (No point getting the relics) charge your way up, some turrets, couple of squads of terminators are before the captain. 3 Liberaians, a Terminator squad and a very nasty FULL Heavy Bolter squad are protecting him, take out the HB squad, kill the Captain , mop up the Terminators if you feel like it and just destroy the stronghold and enjoy the imba cinematic! Poor Chaplin...
(PS: This stratergy can work for any race)

it should be noted you can take out the reinforcement station with one shot from your relay and a single scout (if the shot is centered on the barraks)

Eldar only need to clear the right side of the map, relic can be ignored.
Final assault was done entirely by turrets, it was stupidly easy. Could've orb'd but at that point it was already overkill. Once the right side is cleared, (Orbital Relay / Reinforcements) build a webway lower tier of the SM base. Turret farm + Relocation, slowly warp to the second tier after you've made room for yourself with some D-cannons. Librarians were able to spot, but they weren't alive for long. Got a webways in ranged and D-Cannon'd HQ to death.

I did the entire mission as the orks with: My Warboss, Big Mek, Mad Dok (hg), 2 big shootas (hg), 2 nob squads, and 2 flash gitz, and 2 LLR.
This mission was really easy once i captured the orbital relay. The only thing that gave me some difficulty were the 5 or so tacticals with 8 heavy bolters...

as the tau
u just need to have an honor guard take out the morning rush. then u just turtle and tech up. built the montka command post and build a pair of hammerheads then u go to th right. use a stealth team preferably the vetaran HG ones to spot for the haammers. and snipe out all of the sm defending the orb relay. take. build a small flash base. the geta trio of firewarriors and repair your hammers if by some miracle u actually got them damaged. then contune to use the stealths to snipe out the turrets. if u want to caputre the relic make sure u have a detector because they have a ton of scouts with plas weps. take that too but it doesnt do much. attack the fort from the right side. this time use the kroot to spot and then snipe out everything. then u wil orb the comand post and rush it. the captain is reasbley tough(i attacked this place last) kill him too.

That's why you build multiple stealth teams and jump them into areas all at once. One stealth team doesn't cut it.

Re: First Whirlwind attack
The assassin's rifle can reach the whirlwind.
Re: Orbital Relay
HQ Scanner + Orbital Bombardment means you can strike any location on the map. It's like free ES rounds with unlimited range. You can achieve the "Destroy the Chapel Barracks" objective without even sending any troops. It'll take two orbital bombardments.
edit: according to Calax's post (#6) you can kill the barracks with one orb bomb.

What do we do if we are defending this place?

Just a suggestion, if you are far down enough as SM to have stronghold get attacked, you should either
1)practice on skirmish mode
2)find a race that really suits your style of play.
and im sorry if offense is taken, but thats what i did in my campaigns so good luck! :)

Don't worry Joe, I'm doing pretty well so I don't think O'Kais is going to get me- I'm in his stronghold.

Just capture the orbital relay, then bomb everything you can see with some sort of scout unit/capper.
