This map involves good control and teching-up skills. If you don't have any Honour Guards then your effort will be even harder, but with them it can be a piece of cake.

Notice the "Your enemy captures a certain point" notifier and send your fast/hard-hitting troops to that area, with any luck they'll be encountered by enemy before they go there, or you can predict enemy's locations.
An enemy base is straightly East to your base, so you may try to send some units there and have fun.

Meanwhile tech up fast in the base and get some fast units to search and destroy enemies. Don't bother to kill enemy bases------in fact, you'll want them intact to give you kill counts. Once your kill count go to the desiginated figure you'll win.

As prior post stated, you want advanced troops and vehicles quickly to maximize your kill efficiency (especially with a small honor guard). There are tons of points to cap, so try to rush in the non enemy directions early but be ready to back off quickly when you meet an enemy. This was the only map I have been unable to cap and build a big base for future defenses. I reinforced it with the vehicle choice, just in case.
Once you have the lead, don't fully destroy the base or de cap all their points you want them to keep dishing out troops so bust up their tech buildings but leave the troop buildings.
Do the troop counts vary by opponent? I've only played against the Necrons here. Usually I let them spam warriors and scarabs and keep a couple of squads puppy guarding the NL corpses.

The caps do change

When I played Tau v. Necrons I had to kill 90

When I played Marines v. Necrons I only had to kill 76

BTW, builders do count toward the kill cap--good when fighting crons and orks

I had to kill 160 Guard when playing as Tau. Lost only 3 units - the drones attached to my commander.

The important thing to remember with this map is that the bases will be to the north and east sides of the map. This will help you plan on where to attack, and more importantly, where to cap and get your econ (the west side, naturally).

Attacking when the enemy has a sizable Honor Guard stationed there is a decent idea if you want to end the mission quickly.

Rushing is also a dangerous strategy, oddly enough, because if you destroy the enemy bases or economy too quickly they won't be able to produce enough troops for you to kill. :)

146 Guards to kill as Necron.
70 Necrons to kill as SM.

When killing Guards (they're quite easy to kill), you should have at least 1 CC Honor Guard squad. You'll be fine after that.

As Necrons, you need only to spam on Warriors (and Wraiths, if you like). If you have Immortals and Pariahs as Honor Guard, the better.

If you destroy both HQs and win that way, don't you get the territory's special ability then?

on this map, you can win one of two ways:

1) getting the kill count
2) killing every building And every unit on the map (that can get annoying as Heck!)

Either way you get the bonus.

How to win?

Rush,

Attack the area below by the two relics and destroy the bases, pretty much after that it's a cakewalk.

I found that this is also one of the few maps where turtling works very effectively as well. Most of the time, I never go on the offensive at all. I just build lots of upgraded listening posts and turrets and combine them with troops with high defensive potential, like FW honour guard, HWTs, etc. Usually, the enemy will lose enough troops getting their halfhearted assaults ripped apart by your defenses that you'll beat the mission without launching a single assault of your own. Even if time runs down, you can always send a giant T4 assault team sweeping across the map to get those last few kills, but I've only ever had to do that once, and I was only short by like 6 kills.

Why did they give one of the best effects to the easiest mission? I don't know if anyone can lose this one.

This is the easiest battle, i just built up 2 Necron Warrior squads and tore the Imperial to pieces. Make sure to get the relic so if the badlands get attacked and you have to defend it you can get your Titan Unit.

:alarm: Imperial Guard, the monolith is coming, destroy i-*bzzzzt* :alarm:

I was crons used my lord-around 6k hp with res orb, phylactery, and lightning field as relics(from the archive), and then my pariah HG i lost two pariahs killed 140 guards. This mission was way to easy, but the general and the lone karskin squad got annoying, they were the reason i lost my pariahs. But HG reinforcements are fast for crons, so it was all O.K WOOOOHOOOO :)
