I'm a BIG fan of the original. The new game is going to be an FPS/RPG style - similar to Deus Ex or System Shock 2 apparently, and has an impeccable pedigree of devs including guys who worked on Fallout 1 & 2 and Arcanum.

How can you play as Human, in the beginning you're human and the effent leading to your rise as vampire is fixed... as far as I know.

I meant multiplayer. In singleplayer its not possible to stay human. I tried, no matter how many points you put into Faith you'll still get embraced by that woman with the bad teeth.

On multiplayer playing human is really fun. There are a few maps with sunlight out there and then there is the Flash spell. One flash of sunlight and every vampire around me is dust. :)
Though the Holy weapos kinda such. The don't do any damage against summoned creatures so I have to switch weapons to kill those stupid rats.

The single player campaign was fun. The final boss was a bit hard I though. Even though I kept hitting him with that shower of fire disipline he just shrugged it of and used that bite attack to kill my characters one bite at a time. And I couln'd convince my party mates to stay out of his reach.

I'm going to be watching this one. I'm a bit worried that the gameplay won't translate to a FPS perspective, but from what I've read, it seems that it will work OK. Troika certainly has the experience needed to make this into a decent game.

The Ist vampire:masquerade was hot. The new one doesnt look so good. Its a 1st person shooter/rpg. I dont like that at all......

Poxy: He's talking about Ecaterina, the Brujah elder that embraces Christof. I don't know what the story is with her face. I'm sure it's recorded somewhere. Probably in the Brujah clanbook. I'll see if my local comic store has a copy of it and have a leaf through.

PenDragon: Remember that the screenshots we're seeing now are previews for a game that isn't going to be released for at *least* another year. Look how far HW has come in the time since we saw those bootleg scans from PC Gamer.

Dan, I think I crashed your forums. I can't see the forum index anymore and I only posted once. It was a long post, but no pictures or anything. Maybe I offended it, you know how PHP Nuke can be.

I really like the site. But there are a few bugs. Like the forums not working anymore (sorry) and the main page and members list claim I'm not logged in when I am.

[edit] Before I forget, I like the "Who's online" box, but is there a way to see who's online besides 1 guest and 2 registered users".
Also, the forum itself is working, I'm logged in and get the buttons (profile, search, logout, etc) but there no longer is a list with forums (general discussion, etc) and the "profile" button doesn't lead anywhere.

[edit2] nevermind, the forums list is back. I have no idea how or why though.
