a little help please...

earlyier today i was enjoying the matrix trailer and windows media player asked me to upgrade. being the idiot i am, i decided i would upgrade. so i click the button, and download the upgrade and it turns out i need windows 2000. i only have windows 98. since microsoft has quite posibly the most confusing tech support system, i have no idea how to get windows media player to work again

any help is greatly appricated

this version (http://microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e0175119-9a5b-44c3-b1de-9b2a9aa6cff6&displaylang=en) of Windows Media Player (9) should work with 98 Second Edition (SE).

If you don't have SE, try a new install of WMP 7.1 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/software/playerV7.aspx)

It sounds like your problem may be that you do not have Windows 98 SE, since the version for 98SE is a 98se/Me/2000 version.
