The coolness of trench warfare outweighs the historical inaccuracy of this map. Therefore, this map is good. Great job!

How do I play this map?
I downloaded it to the "mp" folder.
Now how can I play it?

just add -dev to the command line perimeter when starting the game.

Yeah well im a history student and have been studying the somme i used "artistic licence" to create the map rougly based on the somme, thanks for your comments
you will need to add -dev to the target on the shortcut to play however and and a mp folder to your scenarious folder and but the map in there...

Great map, I played it and it's a lot of fun - my score is 4.5/5.
I would have given you 5 if the enemy had more defensive bunkers (just like the player has).
In any case this map feels and plays differently, so it's a nice change.
At last I don't have to play with the old maps over and over again.
You did a great job, so keep up the good work.
I copied the map to "My Documents" by mistake.
It should be copied to the COH directory under "Program Files"

While a lot of the maps have been good here, this is the first nutcracker in my book (at least until hawk-eye finishes his map).
It brings a new kind of gameplay, and if you like long, defensive battles (like i do) then this is for you. I'd like even more little details and stuff, but thats really secondary. the map works great and its fun to play.

I think that the side we play against need one or two more bunkers.
Also, when I played against "Easy" AI it didn't put units inside the bunkers.
I wonder if "Normal" AI would do that.
Do you have any control over that?

no idea, i have only tried as allies against my mate online
but it may well make use of the bunkers on normal. my new map btw is a 2v2 and it has 2 main trenches and then support trenches behind it, my texturing is also better but im gonna take some time over it so ill release monday or tuesday, i am trying to make use of the aa guns and flack cannons to add a new element.
Tip for my old map as axis if you take the 88' on the hill you can cover one of the fuel points thats why i didnt give the axis an easy to capture 1
