what is cell size?

cell size 1m to 4 m what does this bit do

acording to the wiki (the unit that the Terrain Size and Playable Area is using) i dont get it?

so if my map is 896 x 896 and my play area is 608 x 608 what is the best cell size to try

Just an observation I saw when testing.. the HQ is 12meters long in "1m" mode but only 6meters long in "2m" mode.
Maybe everything (objects) shrinks so the map seems "bigger"..?

ah well i left it at 1m so ill see how it turns out once im done, thanks for the info
