what a game!! All allied went armour.. and axis had a mix, with some huge battles over the vps..

Allies made a comeback from 400 down, and ground down the axis to win 40-0

enjoy.

i'm never going to build 88s again, as they show up when firing over distance, watched the replay from other point of view and whenever it fired it was lit up like a Christmas tree for them to calliope it to hell....

It was a good fight, but you all have a lot to learn. I'm no expert, but some of the microing there was cringe inducing. ;)

Nevertheless, you guys put up a great fight! I really thought you had a chance right until the bitter end. It's that damn Allied War-machine.

do you have any examples of the cringe inducing micro's and whose were they??

:)

All of the Tigers (I know they weren't yours personally) were microed horrendously. They regularly engaged Pershings and had entire fights with them while getting shot in the backside, yet never turned around (and thus lost). Often they weren't supported even when there were infantry squads, pioneers or other units nearby.

When armour units or AT squads were withdrawn from combat often the support that they did have was left behind and forgotten, only to be needlessly picked off by the enemy. For example the nebelwerfer you built near the start - which you were actually using quite effectively - was left to die when you had plenty of time to retreat it.

Somebody kept churning out half-tracks and just randomly driving them into the middle of enemy armour groups, where they'd be destroyed without achieving anything. Astounding waste of resources.

Most of the grenadier and stormtrooper squads never used cover of any description.

AT guns were sometimes left facing back toward your own lines and always seemed to be unsupported or forgotten only to be wasted by riflemen.

If you'd collectively adressed a few of these things you guys certainly would have won. You all wasted a lot of resources because of all these reasons and more, whereas your opponents wasted very little.

I'm not saying I'd have done it better, but I can certainly see all the places you made mistakes while watching the replay.
