This little guide is designed for cheeping time and space on your harddrive, not to crack the game, is not official, relesed As It Is, no update or feedback previewed and subjected to GNU GPL version 2 (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html) terms!

Part ONE: "The tools list..."

Your DOW game
Your WA game
An unzip program (like winzip or winrar)
Part TWO: "The missing files..."

In order to use locked races DC need also original DOW and WA .exe files:

Insert your DOW cd1
Explore the cd (quit autorun)
Open the data1.cab file
Extract w40k.exe into your DC folder
Insert your WA cd2
Explore the cd (quit autorun)
Open the WinterAssault3.cab file
Extract W40kWA.exe into your DC folder
Part THREE: "The registry key..."

In order to use locked races DC need also some additional registry keys:

Create a new text file
Into it paste this code

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

Change the false cd-key with yours:

CDKEY is DOW serial
CDKEY_WXP is WA serial
W40KCDKEY is dow serial again
WXPCDKEY is WA serial again

Correct C:\\Program files\\THQ\\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\\ with your installation path (if not corrected) making attention to double backslashes ( \\ ) inline and in the end of path
Save the file as DCfix.reg where you want
Execute it
Confirmate the registry changes
Part FOUR: "Play..."



Now you can play with all seven races also in multiplayer

Per usare le razze bloccate DC necessita anche di alcune chiavi di registro aggiuntive:

Create un nuovo file di testo
Incollatevi dentro il seguente codice

Cambiate le false cd-key con le vostre:

CDKEY è il seriale di DOW
CDKEY_WXP è il seriale di WA
W40KCDKEY è il seriale di DOW di nuovo
WXPCDKEY è il seriale di WAdi nuovo

Correggete C:\\Programmi\\THQ\\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\\ col vostro percorso di installazione(se non è corretto) facendo attenzione alle doppie barre rovesciate ( \\ ) in mezzo e in fondo al percorso stesso
Salvate il file come DCfix.reg dove volete
Eseguitelo
Confermate i cambiamenti al registro di sistema
Parte QUATTRO: "Giocare..."

Ora potete giocare anche in multiplayer con tutte e sette le razze

my goty ed. came with seperate cd keys, cd. just had something to do with wa in the dow cd jewel case.
so yes, what does this do? enable detection of the games so that you can play mutiplayer dc with all races, without installing dow, dc?

edit: there is already a tut (tutortial) even if it was in english only

For Windows Vista x64, the .reg file looks a little bit different:
All registry information is now in the Wow6432Node folder.

Is it possible to have WA installed, but somehow to make DC dont register it? I get IG with random 90% of times, and it is quite annoying. Please help.

Simply do not enter the CDKey for IG when you install and run DC for the first time when WA is on your computer.

If you have the disk for DOW, WA and DC, then you can use all 3 in unison and in any combination involving either DoW or DC.

No, you need the CDs/DVDs. What's more, why don't you have them?

This somehow doesn't work for me. I pulled my old installs from my old PC over and everything workend. Now I wanted to play LAN and could only choose Necrons and Tau. So I googled up a bit, came to the conclusion that re-installig the original game would be the only thing to work (I only have the original and DC and latter one isn't in reach at the moment) - so I installed original DoW again, when the message popped up in DC i gave in my serial - and bang, it doesn't accept it as a legit key. Not able to find out what the heck was wrong I tried my friends' key - same message.
Now I stumbled upon this neat fix here - didn't work either!

I can't come up with anything else... I just want to play a few rounds of DC with my pals as Chaos. Somebody PLEASE help.
