=== DESCRIPTION ===
This is Annihilation Mod v1.7 for Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. Took alot of time to finish it finally. It was created to bring more content into the game, and to make game more replayable. Adds most of custom content currently available for community use.
After this release, we will focus on adjusting SoulStorm to be a game it was ment to be.

=== INSTALLATION ===
Open the .zip archive and then just run the "Annihilation_Mod_1.7.exe", select your Dark Crusade location and hit Install button. Go in Game Manager, select Annihilation and have fun.

=== UNINSTALLATION ===
Just delete the "Annihilation_Mod" folder, "Annhilation_1" and "Annihilation_2" modules, "WXPMod_DCMod" file.

=== NEW CONTENT ===
Mod contains custom models, units, FX, researches, weapons etc. Some units have been replaced by their codex versions.
Wargear Mod integrated and fully working, heavily modified and upgraded.
Advanced Build Menu present.
Old Force Commander and Nob voices restored.

=== BALANCE ===
With the advices of my beta testers, the mod has been balanced as much as possible. Some of the most strict changes have been reworked, so that the mod doesn't seem too hard for newer players. I'm quite sure that it will bring some challenge for more experienced players.

=== ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) ===
The AI was initially, but very weakly created by me. But then, I turned for help to our beloved Thudmeizer. Thudmeizer and his team did immense work on DoW's AI. Annihilation AI is based on Dawn of Skirmish AI. New AI fully uses the new units. Get ready for some wicked AI challenge. Players can easily adjust the AI to their likings through the AI Control Panel in "ai" folder.

=== CUSTOM SCRIPTS ===
The mod contains CutterShane's Heroes Mod. All of the new units have been integrated into Heroes Mod, so they WILL gain experience.

=== KNOWN BUGS, GLITCHES... ===
Most pressing glitch at the moment is, that the mod sometimes isn't recognized by Dark Crusade's Game Manager. For that i've included 2 module files, each pointing to different DLL. In Game Manager you should see 2 Annihilations, if you do, don't be confused, they both point to one mod.
The other bug is, that in Necron Advanced Build Menu is stationed a building, which icon is Eldar's Webway gate. It isn't a Webway Gate, but a passage, which is in Campaign, when assaulting Necron Stronghold. I just couldn't find the building's file, to remove it.
If you are not seeing the movies in game, just copy the "Movies" folder from "DXP2" folder to "Annihilation_Mod" folder.
ONLINE GAME GLITCH!
To avoid it, KEEP ANNIHILATION MOD CLEAN AND PURE! You can only add sounds, textures and something like that. In short, just content, which doesn't mess with the "Attrib" folder.

-Overall Changes-

Turret limit removed.
Builder limit removed.
New unit descriptions are all from me
Wargear mod descriptions are from campaign and a bit from me.
Changed available deploy slots on buildings capable of teleporting,summoning units.
Super unit healths and damages have been improved.Some have more, some have less(balancing issues).
Quick-Start resources for each race (except Necrons) have been changed to 10000 req, 5000 pow.
Army Painter now shows-off all units for all races.
Squad and Support caps have been increased. Ork Pop also have been increased.
Increased Tank-type Super Unit health (cuz daemons have becomed very strong).

-Chaos-

...New Unit...
Chaos Havocs can be recruited from Chaos Temple. Can be upgraded with powerful weapons.
Chaos Icon Bearer can be recruited from Sacrificial Circle. Can attach to squads. Has a special ability. I suggest attach him to close-combat infantry squads.
Chaos Terminators can be recruited from Daemon Pit, can be deepstriked to any visible location.
Chaos Land Raider can be built from Machine Pit. Is weaker than Space Marine Land Raider.

Predator limit changed to 4.
Bloodthirster and Daemon Prince health and damage improved dramatically.
Bloodthirster does not lose his health when not in combat.
Bloodthirster now does not require Chaos Projectiles research.
Daemon Prince now has Symbol of Chaos ability.
Daemon Prince now requires a controlled Relic.
Daemon Prince now is able to teleport (looks funny, cuz he doesn't have an animation for that).
Obliterators limit changed to 2.
Terminators limited to 2.
Terminators can accompany themselves with Terminator Aspiring Champion.
Havoc Bolter damage increased.
Havoc Knife damage decreased.
Land Raider limited to 2.
Possessed Marine limit changed to 4.
Possessed Marines are now 11 by squad.
Chaos Marines are upgradeable with Missile Launchers, and weapon limit is 6.
Sorcerer damage improved.
Obliterators are back to 5 by squad.
Khorne Berserkers limited to 4.
Khorne Berserker damage improved.
Sorcerer health improved.
Chaos Lord can now be trained even when Daemon Prince is alive, limit has not been touched.
Defiler health decreased.
Defiler replaced with codex version.
Defiler melee damage decreased.
Corruption ability now a LOT more powerful.
Daemon Pit now can deep strike most of infantry units.

-Eldar-

Eldar now is a force to be reckoned with.
Warp Spider limit changed to 4.
Fire Prism limit changed to 4.
Harlequins are now in squads by 3, squad limit is 2.
Avatar damage and health improved dramatically.
Farseer health increased.
Health increased on almost all units.
Damage increased on almost all units.
Ranger Squad is now perfect for assassination. Damage and Health increased dramatically. Uses Hero UI.
Guardian Squad now are 13 by squad (including Warlock).
Eldritch Storm and Psychic Storm abilities now a LOT more powerful.

-Imperial Guard-

Colonel Brom now can be recruited in Command Squad.Has Rally ability and edited Battlecry ability(does not require research and is not so powerful as FC' one).
Commissar, Psyker and Priest squads. Can be recruited in Infantry Command. Each squad has it's special passive ability. Each squad limit is 1.

Ogryn and Kasrkin limit changed to 4.
Ogryns are 8 by squad and Kasrkin are 9 by squad(including sarges).
Kasrkin replaced with Codex version.
Kasrkin upgradeable with 6 instead of 4 weapons.
Leman Russ limit changed to 4.
Basilisk limit changed to 5.
Baneblade limited to 2, health increased.
All leader limits changed to 4.
All Command Squad leader health and damage buffed up.
All leader health increased.
Psyker now heals surrounding units.
Assassins are now in a squad by 5, squad limit is 1.(making a bit stronger IG)
Removed Command Squad's Psyker's ability Strip Soul(if it would remain Colonel Brom's Battlecry ability wouldn't have a space to fit in)
Decreased Support Cap usage for all vehicles (except Chimera).
Hellhound's health improved a bit.
Hellhound replaced with Codex version.
Undeployed Heavy Weapons Team now carries Hellgun instead of a Lasgun.
Heavy Weapons Team health improved.
Heavy Weapons Team has more health when entrenched.
Heavy Weapons Team training time decreased sightly.
Baneblade can now transport units. Has 2 available slots.
Chimera now has 4 instead of 3 slots.
Battle Command addon now increases max weapon upgrades for Guardsmen squads by 3 (was limited to 3, now max weapons 6).
Guardsmen Lasgun damage increased.
Ogryn, Kasrkin and Guardsmen sergeants now impoving their squads better.
Psyker Lighting Arc damage increased.
Psyker Strip Soul damage increased.
Commisar now makes squads immune to morale damage.

-Necrons-

Necrons now start with 1000 of Power when standart starting resource is set.
Removed morale from all Necron infantry.
Build time decreased on almost all units (cuz Necrons get overwhelmed too soon).
Monolith limit changed to 2, health buffed up.
Lord Destroyer limit changed to 4.
Lord Destroyer health buffed up sightly.
Summoning Core and Greater Summoning Core can now produce units.
Energy Core generates Power resource, but at a higher rate than standart Power Generator.
Power Generator now costs 100 Power and takes 25 seconds to build.
Necron Lord now equippable with 4 artifacts.
Wraiths are now in squad by 3.
Wraith reinforce time and cost increased.
Fixed Wraith Phase Shifter ability.
Pariah limit changed to 4.
Pariah sound path corrected. Now they are not silent.
Mass Resurrection ability now recharges faster.
Nightbringer damage improved.
Monoliths can now teleport at a little more distance.
Monolith teleporting recharges faster.
Wraiths are now second Necron unit which can capture Strategic Points.
Pariahs are now able to summon.
Pariah health increased a bit.
Flayed One health increased a bit.
Lightning Field and Solar Pulse abilities have little more casting range.
Pariah damage increased a bit.
Flayed One damage increased a bit.

-Orks-

Armored Nobz limit changed to 2.
Armored Nobz speed increased.
Armored Nobz now require Orky Fort addon.
Leaders now can attach to Armored Nobz.
Flash Gitz limit changed to 4.
Nobz limit changed to 4.
Big Mek health buffed up a bit.
Squiggoth health improved dramatically.
Kill Kan armor downgraded from vehicle_high to vehicle_med.
Killa Kan melee damage decreased.
Looted Tank limit changed to 4.
Burna Bomb ability added to Big Mek.
Big Mek now can teleport 2 times instead of 1, and at a little more distance (makes him perfect for Hit'n'Run with Burna Bomb).
Burna Bomb ability now has bigger casting range.
Shoota Boyz can now upgrade with Big Shootas, Burnas and Rokkit Launchas (like in 1st Dawn of War). Weapon limit 6.
Big Mek now has Mega Blasta all time, because research does not affect him (i think that it is Wargear mod issue, no offence).


-Space Marines-

...New Unit...
Inquisitor Toth can be recruited from Sacred Artifact building.Can direct Orbital Bombardement,and use all of Librarians abilities.Wields Daemon Hammer stronger than FC's one.
Devastator squads can be recruited from Barracks. Have firepower of tank and mobility of infantry.
Veterans can be recruited from Sacred Artifact. Have some close combat upgrades.

New units and weapons affected by researches.
Corrected Veteran armour from infantry_heavy_med to infantry_heavy_high.
Terminator and Assault Terminator squad limits changed to 3, and both are 9 by squad.
Terminator squads are now upgradeable with 4 instead of 2 weapons.
Terminator and Assault Terminator squads can now add sergeants. Since the both sergeants are Veterans, they are using Veteran's weapons.
Terminators can now be upgraded with Cyclone Missile Launchers.
Land Raider limit changed to 2, health buffed up.
Land Raider replaced with Codex version.
Hellfire Dreadnought now starts with an Assault Cannon , but can be upgraded further to Lascannon.
Chaplain attachable.
Chaplain health increased.
Grey Knight limit changed to 4.
Predator limit changed to 4.
Librarian damage improved.
Librarian now does not change his Staff to Power Sword, after research has been made.
Whirlwind limit changed to 5.
Whirlwind Missile Battery reload time decreased(now it has its real name).
Whirlwind is now available after Monastery addon.
Tactical Squads now upgradeable with 6 weapons.
Heavy Bolter now does not require Monastery addon.
Devastator Plasma Cannon is available after Monastery addon.
Devastator Bolter damage increased.
Devastator Knife damage decreased.
Orbital Bombardment is now way stronger and recharges faster.

-Tau-

Ethereal attachable.
Ethereal damage improved.
Fire Warrior Bodyguards can now receive attachments.
Commander now can accompany himself with total of 4 drones.
Hammerhead Gunship limit changed to 4.
Greater Knarloc limit changed to 3, health buffed up a bit.
Crisis Suit limit changed to 4.
Crisis Suits are now in squads by 3 with 3 upgradeable weapons.
Stealth Teams are now 5 by squad(including sarge).
Vespid Stingwings limit changed to 2.
Kroot Hound limit changed to 4.
Kroot Shaper limit changed to 4.
Broadside are now 4 by squad.
Kauyon and Mont'ka Command posts now do not conflict with each other.
Krootox limited to 4.
Increased health on almost all units (cuz they break too easly).
Air Caste Strike now way stronger.

I have included TheClone's wargear mod, and a bit edited it so that researches contain description. Our UI designer DanVanMan has created custom icons for wargear (only for our mod).
Wargear mod will now be even better.

For those who don't know. TheClone's wargear mod allows you to gear up primary commander for each race. Like in campaign, but this mod makes wargear available in skirmish.

Ok. To the point.

I will ask for help to more experienced modders. Hope that they will help me.

Playing the mod i noticed that Necrons have becomed very weak. Not in damage or health, but in teching and unit producing. I have played with Necrons against Eldar and Imperial Guard and both of them pwned me and my allies who also were Necrons. Any ideas to make them tech faster and produce units faster? But no posts about lowering health and damage. I want to make Necrons tech faster and produce units faster (i have already tried to accelerate their unit build times but it did not help). And another tricky thing. About Power Generator build times. I can't find where it is, that generator build time is increasing every time i build a new generator. And same about their price. I want to make fixed price and build time. Any ideas where to find it?

So, waiting for your posts.

And by the way, i'm balnazzar. My nickname in all forums is hellhunter.

Ok, I've found the generator time and cost modifier. So in v1.6 Necrons will have fixed price and time generators.

Well, I could add the Skirmish AI Mod if they give me the permission to do it. I will try to mail them and ask.

Solution to Pink Box and Chaos Lord model issues.

These both issues happen only when the mod is launched by Game Manager. I got it too when i tried to launch mod by Game Manager. So only chance to get rid of pink box and model error is to copy Data folder from mod to DXP2. But unfortunately it breaks multiplayer.

not a big multi fan myself, i tend to get skinned, gutted and torn apart but hey...


great mod btw, much much fun with the tau battlesuits ^^ jumped in a smashed them orks to buggery and back.

elder are much much better now, so more like they should have been

IG sit back and chill out, dont mess with them when they are dug in

SM good fun to play

Orks i hate with vengence

9/10 love this mod, so much fun

no bugs that i have noticed so far, wargear is the best thing of all, god damn i love it, tau commander is a beast when he has his gear on.

Just played with Necrons again. After I made Power Generator price and build time fixed, gave Necrons 1000 Power in standart starting resource, I kicked Eldar ass. VENGEANCE IS SWEET :twisted: .

Oh by the way, I am taking suggestions how to make mod better, but don't ask or say me to cap units more, cuz i won't do that.

Just post your opinion what should I add or change.

I just played as necrons (^_^)

Pwnage at its best, ripped through enemy ranks like hot knife through butter...

Nec Lord is a one man army with all the war gear

What is the main focus of this mod? Rebalancing the game or creating more in the future, such as new units? Just asking so i can input my opinions. So far its great!

Stupid pink box!

People still get that error. I got it ONLY when i tried to run the mod through Game Manager. Wait. I think i got why! Maybe it's because some errors in Annihilation.module file. I will try to correct if something is wrong in there. I will write for results.

Finally some results!

I've corrected the Pink Box instead of a Daemon Prince. Daemon Prince and my mod fans cheer.

But the Chaos Lord's bug stayed for some reason. I've noticed very interesting thing. When not in Army Painter, when in main menu Chaos Lord has it's OLD chest armor. Remember? The one with skull and other stuff on it. I will try to fix this issue too.

Well i don't know how to fix Chaos Lord. But I've fixed Daemon Prince. So if you want to get rid of Chaos Lord's error in-game - gear him up!

I GOT IT!!!!!! FIXED BOTH BUGS!!!!

I've corrected the .module file using one from v1.3

Now, the solution.

Download Annihilation Mod v1.3
Extract from it Annihilation.module file to a new folder
Open it with Notepad, and in the line where is mod version, correct to 1.5
Save and close it.
Replace the v1.5 Annihilation.module file with the one edited from v1.3
Start Dark Crusade
Go in Game Manager
Select Annihilation
Play

BEWARE! Mod maybe will not work in Game Manager with v1.3 .module file. If that happens, extract the mod contents into DXP2 folder and play Dark Crusade.

This is a great mod! I love having Toth in there, attaching him to a squad of grey knights and... Currently I'm using this with the latest ai mod as well as the grey knights mod. All is well. I haven't seen any pink boxes but maybe that's because everything is stored in the ai data folder and going off their module... It would be great if the ai would command the new characters. Maybe down the road... Cheers!

Dark Crusade bugs.

Have anyone noticed obvious game bugs? I have 2.

First.

Look on Assault Terminator squads screen name. What would you see? Assault Terminator Veteran. :)

Second.

Think about Chaplain attach ability. He was not meant for attaching to squads, right? But, if he was not meant for attaching, how could he had an attach and detach voices? (Attach - "None can match our combined might!", Detach - "I am needed elsewhere!") Mysterious isn't it? :)

Can someone help me with AI of the mod? I want that AI uses new units, abilities and other stuff. Is someone able to do that? I haven't tried to mess with AI files, I don't understand them. But don't start to teach me how to make AI. I want someone who knows good how to edit AI. Together we could make team of mod.

Waiting for answers.

I play it with the AI mod, too. It's quite simple to do, and is loads more fun than the original DC AI.

No. You need to combine AI mod with my mod. Just copy my mod contents into AI mod folder. Or another, copy AI mod contents into my mod folder. You're set to go!

A few things that I've noticed: switch Daemon Prince and Blood Thirster stats. Daemon Prince requires no relic and no Chaos Projectiles research, so the fact that the BT is weaker seems a little odd. Plus BT is stronger in TT...so it'd be more true to the fluff.

Also make cultists come in squads of atleast 14 WITHOUT Aspiring Champion.

One last thing: Both the Inquisitor and Force Commander having orbital bombardment is kinda IMBA. Give it to the FC or give it a global recharge time.

Thats where the trick is. Orbital Bombardment is most weakest of that-type abilities. Eldritch Storm, Corruption, Air Caste Strike etc. they all are much more stronger than Orbital Bombardment. So I decided to give it to two commanders.

I think that Daemon Prince is stronger than Bloodthirster. And about requirements, I will add that both of them require a controlled Relic.

If I make Cultists 15 by squad then they will be overpowered as they are scout unit. They have a good melee attack.

I have noticed one annoying bug! When with IG build a Battle Command, Guardsmen squads can add 3 more weapons. When update Battle Command to Regimental Command, Guardsmen squads are back to max 3 weapons. This keeps annoying me! I will try to find and fix it. Post if you have any suggestions to fix it.

In terms of Cultists allow them 15 in tier 2 this would increase their later game viability.

For the Blood Thirster do what you want its your mod but believe me(I have the Chaos codex:p)BT is definitely stronger, afterall BT is effectively the avatar of Khorne whereas a DP is simply an ascended Chaos Lord(ie. not avatar of Khorne). Anyway if you're not going to change the stats make the BT not require Chaos Projectiles(best if neither DP or BT do) but still have both require relic

EDIT: O.K. you must havbe modified all those abilities because Orbital Bombardment is definitely the strongest in standard DC

Also, I'm not criticising your mod(I frequently play it for the wargear and ubers which are actually uber) I love it! Just making suggestions:jester:

Well ChaosReigns you see, I am not trying to make all codex like. Just some aspects. To me Daemon Prince is most coolest of all daemons. But if you want Bloodthirster stronger than Daemon Prince, I could change health for both of them, but not damage.

If only I had the models of all W40k existing units, i could add all of them to my mod. Then it would be codex-like, with all 4 Chaos Gods daemons, and other stuff.

Playing the mod with DC Skirmish AI Mod, i've noticed that AI uses most of new units and abilities. Too bad that AI don't use completely new units like Inquisitor and Colonel. But it is already good that AI uses, for example, Terminator Sergeants, reinforces Assassins.

Most surprising for me that AI upgrades Tau Commander with weapon wargear. :)

Suggestion for mod.

How it would be if I make Necron Destroyers and Heavy Destroyers in squads?

v1.6 changes (for now)

Chaos Possessed Marines are now 11 by squad.
Imperial Guard Kasrkin now as always require a Regimental Command.
Obliterators are back to 5 by squad.
Terminator and Assault Terminator squads can now add sergeants.
Necron Pariah damage increased a bit.
Necron Flayed One damage increased a bit.
Necron Pariah health increased a bit.
Necron Flayed One health increased a bit.
Necrons now start with 1000 of Power when standart starting resource is set.
Power Generator now costs 100 Power and takes 25 seconds to build.
Commisar now makes squads immune to morale damage.
Psyker Lighting Arc damage doubled.
Psyker Strip Soul damage increased.
Priest now enhances squads better.

And of course the long waited fix. No more pink box and Chaos Lord model issue.

No... he means the codes of the Sync Error in the console, he's gonna need a screenshot of the console commands for helping you out. Start DoWDC again and start a game, and once you get the sync error
press CTRL+SHIFT+ ~ to open consle then press your 'Prnt Screen' button on your keyboard to take a screenshot. and post it in the thread in anyway, I.E: Code form, Screenshot and etc.

It sounds like this.

Requires Regimental Command, Relic, Mars Pattern Command.
Costs 5000 req, 5000 pow. Takes 5 minutes to perform.

Very cool hellhunter, and yes in my humble opinion you should add all of those units eventually if not in this version. Can't wait, I'm so excited:D

Oh, and make sure you hard cap the more powerful of those new units at 4 like the others so there isn't massive spam.

EDIT: Could you also add the codex Defilers(done by medes I believe), don't change the stats(unless you want to for whatever reason) just switch the model.

My Black Legion will stomp on the dead of the Orkish horde(unless of course the Orks stomp on my dead first,lol)I like the idea of Imp Guard getting war hound titan, they also need conscripts. In regards to the two champions hellhunter, no don't add them, it'd be better if you just added the Chaos leuitenant. If you add the two champions Chaos will have 4 leaders, even more than SM!

Also, if you add Khorne Termies Possesed will become obsolete. Maybe you should just hard cap them at 1-2

EDIT: Where do Chaos Landraiders fit in? Chaos already has 2 uber units(please don't decrease either of their health anymore).

Suggestion:Why doesn't each race have 2 ubers instead of one, here are my recomendations:

Chaos: Daemon Prince, Blood Thirster

Space Marines: Landraider, Landraider Crusader

Imperial Guard: Baneblade, Stormblade

Orks: Squiggoth, Battle Fortress

Eldar: Avatar of Khaine,?

Necrons: Monolith, Nightbringer(make him a full unit rather than just an ability)

Tau: Greater Knarloc,?

Not sure what second relic unit for Tau and Eldar would be. Any suggestions?

Hammerheads are basically the Greater Knarloc of Mont'ka and they are considered Uber Units, and Eldar has Seer Council as the 2nd Uber.

It's easy for you to say. Get me models and textures for them. Without textures and models it's even not worth to try.

Chaos Land Raider is not considered as an "Uber" unit. In it's current condition it's just a heavy tank.

Autarch's could fit in for Eldar. I would be very happy if i could find models for Land Raider Crusader, and The Necron Deceiver (heard of him?). I would be even more happyer, if i could find models of Lord of Change, Keeper of Secrets, Great Unclean One. If i could find them all i would remove Daemon Prince from game. Because of 4 Chaos God avatars would be more than enough.

I'm pretty sure that the Battle Fortress is available for download on DOWFiles. If there's a huge eldar tank(have no idea what he's talking about)in the Table Top Round Up mod then talk to ZanyReaper who's that mod's creator. Have no idea what a barracuda is or what it looks like so I can't help you there. In terms of the greater daemons don't think any of those or the deciever are available right now, same thing with the deciever. For the LR Crusader perhaps just re-texture it with all heavy bolters and storm bolters rather than las-cannons. I certanly don't expect any of these things though hellhunter, your mod is good enough. Also don't take out the DP he's my favorite unit. I just thought it would be fluffy if BT and DP switched stats, but whatever it doesn't matter.

P.S. So what about those cultists? You still haven't answered my PM yet man so: no hard feelings?

Huge Eldar tank? In new files i've seen only Nightspinner Grav tank and Scorpion Grav tank.

And about feelings. You see i am sensetive by nature. Biggest trick is that you didn't even offend me. So don't be so rough on yourself. :)

Another trick is this. I can't texture units. I don't understand a thing in photoshop or other that like programs.

I want to create a team. Me as a lead and main modder. I need texturer, modeller, and someone who has good skill in AI making.

I love the Stormblade! Yeah, it might be worth while talking with Zany. He's put in loads of new units, scorpion, battlefortress, the hydra (thats a good one), got them working with the ai... I like the anillilation ranges and balance much better however. Kudos on a great mod! I'm lovin it!

The Stormblade is from the Steel Legion mod. Did you ask permission from them?

Furthurmore, you certainly didn't ask anything from me about the Warhound, Battle Fortress, Battle Wagon nor the Scorpion.

Many of the TTRU units are exclusive to the mod, & I can't afford to loose them.
If I find you've stolen Anyone's models (i.e. - models not for public download saying that you may explicitly use them in mods), then there'll be trouble.

Perhaps it would be wise to pull v.1.6 from filefront while you negotiate things out with Zany, hellhunter, and Zany I'm pretty sure that those models are from the C2C thread which medes has up for public download.

EDIT: and Zany lastly, the Stormblade is !NOT! solely exclusive to the Steel Legion mod, Remiel is also using it in his Divergence mod so please don't start accusing people before there is solid evidence of model theft.

^ If it was clear from attached readmes etc. that they're available for community download, then I don't think there's anything to worry about.

I assume the Closer to Codex models have been around long enough to exclude any possibility of there being something illegal about them. If they contain any instructions regarding credit giving, etc. just follow them.

As for other models, if you've got permission from the original creators, then what's the problem?

Even if you have inadvertantly 'stolen' them then you find out pretty damn fast round here! Put a disclaimer in the readme saying that you hope you havnt used anybodys work without permission and if you have open negotiation with the creators. The worst comes to the worst, you may have to remove it from your mod.

It might be an idea to speak to a moderator from this site to find out the best way of dealing with this situation. They take a very dim view of deliberate IP theft but I'm sure could tell you the best way of handling the situation.

Since i will be using many custom models, you will be my right hand in asking permissions and stuff.

If this does not work out, PM Remiel, and if he allows, get the model and textures, since i dont know where to find it.

Well i really hope he says yes. Since his model will be living in another more popular game, and in a good mod who is most downloaded for this game.

Making icons is not modding. It's painting or somthing. For example I take a screen of a weapon, you using that screen make an icon from it, so that weapon can use custom icon.

hellhunter it may be easier to use Obliterator sounds for terminators, they sound fine and fit the part so if you are unable to get your own sounds in game then just use oblits' voice acting. I messed up guys Remiel didn't do a Stormblade he did a Shadowsword, sorry. I'll do those concept art pieces as soon as possible, hopefully be done in 3 days.

When I said Chaos' dynamic duo I meant have you changed the BT and DP in any ways other than DP now requiring relic. hellhunter perhaps release 1.6 WITHOUT the Stormblade and we(meaning you,me and GremlinShoota)can get it into the game in V.1.7. I'll do the condept art, GremlinShoota can do the icons and descriptions and you do coding.

EDIT: ARGH! My Spleen! darn it, another edit anyway I'm off to do that concept art, anything else you want done?

Ok. Mail when you get the answer. But still work on Stormblade's concept art, so that Thudmeizer can give it to modeller and texturer. We may still need our own Stormblade. And don't forget Land Raider Crusader. It is one of most important what i need currently in game.

We have one problem.

If Zany says no to me, than we will need lots of new icons. I can handle the new weapons, but i can't handle icons. I don't understand a thing in photoshop.

I called it - Mont'ka Hammerhead Gunship.

Has 14000 health, limited to 2. It's like a Land Raider, but weaker, as the Tau have two "ubers".

Description:

- Vehicle. Super-Heavy Tank.
- Larger and more powerful version of Hammerhead Gunship.
- Carries more powerful weapons than the standar Hammerhead Gunship.
- Effective against vehicles and buildings.

I tried to make it bigger in scale, changing the scale values, but no results. It stayed at the same size.

I want to pull up a important thing.

Since i've gathered the team, we have a website for our mod, we are moving to a real big mod, like Dowai mod. All big mods have a banner. We also need a banner.

But most importantly we need a crew. A crew consisting of texturers, modellers, and AI guys.

You mean my changes and your units in the mod?Technically, but with some exceptions:

I want the armour penetration values to remain pretty much the same as they are in the weapon luas for the TTRU mod (You haven't got these as a merge isn't fully agreed). The damage values & anything else can be tweaked, but remember - It's gotta be a bit more like Tabletop than normal DOW.

However, I had someother conditions, which were that you use our forum as a 'base of operation,' modify your mod name so it bears relation to Tabletop Round-up, & that we merge teams.

But since we haven't merged yet - you aren't allowed to use any stuff from the Tabletop Round-Up mod yet, let alone releasing them in any other mods.

All I ask is that the Name of the mod is changed a bit so that it contains 'Tabletop' Or 'Roundup,' & that the weapons files have the same AP stats. That's all for the luas, do whatever you like with the rest.
Non-mod wise, use my forum as a base, & merge teams.

4 simple things, nothing more. I'm sure that's alright.

Hello, I just registered to these forums, and I have been a big fan of this mod since the first version, and I had a few ideas for the Imperial Guard. I know you have a lot on your plate at the moment, but if you would concider these, I would be very greatful.

Imperial Recon Team: (Hardcap: 3)
A two man team of standard Imperial Guardsmen assigned to recon duty, they should be quick moving and have a fairly large line of sight. Their primary duties would be
A. Recon (Obviously)
B. Spotting
C. Early SP capturing

I think they should be cheap and quick to produce (It is only 2 guardsmen, after all) but very weak. They should be infiltrated, and maybe have the idea to plant a satalite relay (Like the snare trap, but without the snare :P ) which would reveal a small area of the map until found and destroyed.

My second Idea is

Imperial Field Engineer: (Hardcap: 1, attachable)
This is like an Enginseer, but more suited to combat. He is able to make repairs to vehicles, but he cannot build anything. However, he can plant mines (Again, like the snare trap, but with the effects of a mine field) as well as explosive charges (Like the burna bomb, but weaker, and with a longer fuse)

Thats all I have for now, and thank you for taking the time to read over my ideas :)

Good news everyone, I just got a response from MirageKnight and he said he would be happy to help you scale up tank(s) hellhunter

Secondly, hellhunter I think it would be a good idea to replace all standard Relic made models with C2C ones as they are randomized and simply have more visual appeal.

Zany thanks for icon templates. But the same stupid issue. I make an icon in Photoshop, convert it with a converter, but the same stupid pink icon for unit!

I do everything correct. Icon is 64x64, .tga.

How can i set white background for icon if i am using an screenshot piece?

Hellhunter - give me time. I'm not here all the time remember, got my Stompa to work on.

Ok, you're getting pink icons. Note that you'll get pink icons for infantry if you upgrade them with a different weapon. This requires you to make 'different' versions of the icon for each upgrade.

Here's what you do:
You 1st make your normal icon, then copy it.
THEN, get the name of the weapon upgrade you're gonna make an icon for & paste it at the end of the copied icon, so that it should read something like
Chaos_havoc_icon__Chaos_autocannon_Havoc.tga or something like that.
Note that IT MUST have 2 underscores rather than one after the original Icon name.

If you're still having problems then PM me.

This must be happening to you if your icon goes pink when you upgrade a weapon.

Yeah, but thats the trick. Icon Bearer does not have any weapon upgrades.

So now it's the Icon bearer thats the problem?

Hopefully this isn't one of these unsolvable ones I got, such as the Chaos Land raider.

Right - double check the icon files to make sure that they work. Compare it to the Havoc one.
Also - look at the lua files for the Icon bearer to check if the icon path is correct, for both SBPs & EBPs files.

If that fails to work, then try a different icon.

I tried your icon. It works perfectly. I tried to renaming, correcting paths, creating additional weapon upgrade icons. No results.

Well thats the trick. If the one icon does not work, then all of them will not work. And question. How can i know that .tga is uncompressed?

Hellhunter - what program are you using to save the icons.
Compressed tga files are quite a bit smaller than uncompressed ones.

I use the GIMP 2.2. It's a pretty good program for icons, though it compresses tga files. I use it for Jpg icons anyways.

What's wrong, is that they are PSD files. They should either be Jpgs or Tga files.

Hey hellhunter, small problem. Me and my buddies were trying to play the mod last night in 3v3 comp stomp using Hamachi last night. We get a sync error and crash to desktop within 15 secs of the level starting every time so we gave up. Got any idea what could be causing?

The mod looks great other than that, keep up the good work

Just played Aralez's map Slash. Great map. I've noticed one thing about me. I can organize a perfect defense operation.

I played with IG, my allies also were IG, enemies Orks. My allies were strong in start of the round, they rushed to Ork base, but Orks repelled them. Then Orks started to periodically throw more and more at us. While my allies battled near very doors of their base, i maintained a strong defense ground between Space Marine Bolter Turrets and Relic. I just pwned Ork hordes massively incoming at me. :) Too bad i didn't strike back, i played for such a long time that it became booring.

LRC half done, expect it up VERY soon:D.(nice user bars Gremlin). Yeah I can't believe how fast this mod is progressing either. It's only been three days lol. In that time the team has avoided a crisis, gotten a concept artist and icon maker/designer, gotten an attrib guy(Divinatus), gained popularity incredibly fast, put up a website and made 5 userbars. Hopefully Thudmeizer will be helping us get a modeller very soon.

Sorry guys, I underestimated the time it would take to make that LRC, it's REALLY hard putting in all the details and getting the angles right. I might post pics when it's closer to being done but for now it's going to take probably another day or two to finish.

I have another idea, what about giving the Rhino and the Chaos Rhino an ability like rampage, only it doesn't do any damage (but still knocking them aside). Because, that is the only transport lacking onboard weaponary, so if they have the ability to plow through enemy infantry to get there passengers somewhere important, it might make up for that.

That would be an intresting Idea.. if we had an animator, we could give it a melee attack, which would simply be for it to attempt to impale you on its forward spikes... *sigh* I hate it when those Ideas spring to mind...

Sure. Space Marines Armoury is for anyone to use, provided proper credit is given, as said in the readme.
Be warned that the last version I made was for WA/DoW 1.41; so be prepared to do some work by yourself to port it to WA1.5 or DC.

Ok, if thats settled, then giving Rhinos rampage is a good idea, since they are really lacking ability to defend themselves. Look on Chimera for example. It has excellent ability to defend itself.

Where can one find this Chaos Space Marine armory mod Compiler? It sounds very interesting.

A few simple questions about the mod hellhunter: Are Chaos Termies(both varieties) hardcapped?

Do they have teleporters?

EDIT: hellhunter ACTUALLY do add the Chaos champions to Chaos SM. That way both Chaos and SM have 4 heroes.

Chaos have only one type of termies. But, still they are both powerful in CC and in ranged. They are hardcapped to max 2 , since the Chaos have Obliterators. They have Teleporters, but they as Obliterators require teleporter research.

ChaosReigns, Chaos does not need Champions. They are already 4 heroes. Sorcerer, Lord, DP, BT.

Too bad that we are focusing on new units. Right now we should focus on unit and weapon icons. Because of them i cant release v1.6

It must look like this. Unit icon with its race background, same, but white background for the weapon icons, and we also need unit icons with weapon upgrades (y'know with coloured squares around). I hope that you know for icon squares, red - flamer like, blue - heavy bolter like (anti infantry), yellow - plasma gun like ( anti heavy infantry), green - missile launcher like (anti building & anti vehicle).
