Patch problem.

I bought IC when it first came out, played it, loved it, moved on, uninstalled it.

After hearing about the new creatures they were releasing i reinstalled it, after a whole heck of a lot of problems( couldnt find a patch to DL, i know its on the ic online now after searching a bit)i have come to a unpassable problem(so far).

After whiping everything, i reinstall. the game runs fine. So i then try to get to the IC online for patch downloads (7.0 i belive, my version is 1.0) i get to about 23 percent and it locks up :rage: , giving me the error, "a setup file that was run has failed, contact you provider or *someone else*"after getting this error i can no longer play IC, it says " This application has failed to start becasue MSVCR70.dll was not found. Re-installing the application mey fix this problem"

But i have already done this, numerous times.

So my questions are these:

What is wrong?
Is there another place where i can get patches besides through IC online?( i belive the Insect add on only required a 1.5 and my ultimate goal here is to just be able to play with the new Insect release)
Is there any hope for me to play with Shield Bugs and Black widows?

Uhhh yeah so i found(after looking here where i didnt think to look be for**man am i flustered or what?!**the IC FORUM!!
i found the DLable patch from the forum link in the IC boards and had the same problem to the letter.

But i was wrong on one thing it gets to 27%, not 23%

Here is the first error message i recive after the patch program locks up.

"There is a problem with this Window Installer package.
A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected.
Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

So yeah...

Please help before i go :madashel:
