I have had Dow/WA Gold for about 3 weeks now. I have downloaded patch 1.41 for the game and have 158.18 ver of forceware drivers. I have two EVGA 7600GT's running in SLI config. Last night everytime I go to play the game as soon as the start up movies begin playing I get two vertical lines on the right hand side of my screen each one is perhaps 1 to 2 pixels in thickness and colored white. They are about a half inch apart and run from the top to the bottom of the screen. In the middle there is a transparent green color in between the lines that is maybe 6 inches.Toward the top on the right of the inermost line is the letters SLI with the top and bottom of the I being the same green in color. This only occurs on DOW i have tried several other games and I get nothing wrong. If I disable SLI it goes away. Any help from anybody would be appreciated
Excuse me I meant to say the lines were on the left hand side of the screen
Also it dosen't effect playing the game but persists continually throughout the game.

Graphical anomalies are usually tied to temperature, overclocking or PSU over/under load issues. Of course you could also check the cabling between both cards.
Speedfan (websearch it) is useful for monitoring the PSU rails, as for your GPU temperatures, the inbound summer weather will only make the situation worse I feel, if this is the cause.

This may be the case but I've got a lot of fans in my case also I haven't OC'd my cards. I'll check the SLI bridge for heat creep but I've got a KN9 SLI mobrd that has the bracket that's supposed to stop creep. Here are my sys spec's tell me if you see anything that might contribute to this.
AMD64 X2 3800+
1 GB DDR2 Kingston VRAM PC800
2 EVGA 7600GT's 256MB
Samsung 300GB 7200 SATAII HD
Samsung optical drive
1 80mm fan ducted to the processor
1 80mm fan 64CFM sucking air out the front
1 92mm fan in the rear sucking air in
Thermaltake 600W Purepower PS 18A dual rails
with the PS fan sucking out
Besides which my case temps processor temps and GPU temps are reading fine when this happens. It only happens on DOW. I played the game for 3 weeks on max settings sometimes for hours on end and it worked fine. I'm perplexed:cry:

That happens when you have GPU load balncing.
To turn SLI load balancing on and off, simply follow these steps to get to the screen you see below:
1) Right click on your desktop and select "Properties."
2) Select the "Settings" tab.
3) Select the "Advanced" button in the lower right corner.
4) Click on the "GeForce 7800 GTX" Tab in the upper right hand corner (or whatever GPU you are using).
5) On the left now appears a menu; select the "SLI Multi GPU" tab
6) Two checkboxes now appear: "Enable SLI Multi GPU" and "Show GPU load balancing"
7) If you want to show the load balancing (green lines) make sure that box is checked; if you don't, make sure it's unchecked.
8) Once you've made up your mind, click "Apply"

what grenade said +1
i had the exact same problem with first person shooter games, i always had a green bar on the side that flucuated with the cpu usage, its a type of indicator.
it is rather weird as i never got it with dow either way, doing what grenade said or updating your drivers will get rid of it.
btw i have sli 7600gts aswel if that makes you feel better :)
