First of all, like all others, I would like to say this demo ROCKS!!

okay, now I am trying to get rid of the lines that flow towards the movement or enemy target that shows up everything you send some units to a location or attacking a enemy. How do I do that? Also, how to get the interface back to the original Homeworld style? Maybe I am a little resistance to change, but I feel that the interface is a little cluttered, and I would definitely like the ability to close off every interface and just the screen itself. For screenshots. Also, how do you get rid of the circle that shows up everytime you select the carrier or mothership?

Another thing is how do you form strike groups? And how do you get a unit to patrol a waypoint? Thanks.

play with the F6 through 9 keys you will get verbal feedback if you have ships selected for strike groups its f6.

Waypoints I dont know.

Try the tab and backspace keys for interface.

The lines you talk about refer to the tactical overlay setting. I think there are three settings; no overlay, overlay on ships, overlay on ships and move lines. Hit tab to go throug the overlay settings.

For the waypoints you have to select it from the icon menu. In the icon menu you will see a little yellow lighting bolt. If you click it then it will take you to the second page of the icon menu. Mouse over the icons and you will see which is the waypoint one and the keystroke for it.

You can set waypoints using the buttons to the lower right (On the control bar i always turn off).

Check Options->Key Settings (I think). It gives you a list of all the hotkeys. Waypoint should be on there.

1) To get rid of the ORDER FEEDBACK vectors, press F10, go to gameplay options and uncheck the Order Feedback box or set the slider to 0.

2) Press BACKSPACE to minimize and hide the Taskbar.

3) To hide most of the TO sysmbols, press TAB. To take awesome screenshots, first pause the game, get the camera in the right spot, Unselect everything and then take the screenshot. Itès how we do it.

4) To select a strike group, first select a bunch of ships that click on the Stike mouse rollup menu and choose one.

5) Waypoints. Press 'w'. This enters waypoint mode. Select a path and then press 'w' or ESC. This activates the waypoint.

Hope that helps!

Doesn't answer how to set up patrols though... waypoints are fine and dandy, but it's pointless to have to issue the same orders your scouts every few minutes.

I don't think there is looping waypoints... maybe if you overlap the start and end.

<-- at work, can't do it myself
