How to do Strike Groups?

It's not in the demo tutorial so it would be very kind if someone could explain me how I can create a Strike Group. Thank you!

Select your ships, click the strike group menu, and select your strike group formation. Use tactics to control the strike group's behavior. It is very useful for moving.
