Anyone know the height and width of the viewable area on a widescreen 22" ??

Would like to compare to my 19" CRT to see if I need to buy a 24" LCD or not.

Do you need dx10/vista to enable widescreen mode?

Nope, widescreen can be used in dx9

22" WS monitor runs on native 1080 x 1050 resolution, so you can set COH on that res. You can also set COH on 1440 x 900 res. if you don't have powerful video card

I had a nice widescreen with the game. Looked very nice in 1440x900 res until my new video card refused to use that res.

Sprinkles:

I can probably help you get that sorted out, post your dxdiag.txt and warnings.log file in a thread in the CoH Tech support forum.

Already had a thread here. (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=153154)

But im pretty sure the new CAT drivers solved the problem. Im just to lazy to really switch it back and try atm. Hardly anything supports widescreen anyways.

I've got it running at on a 22" at 1680 X 1050 at the same detail level as I had on my 19" at 1280 X 1040. Gfx card is a 1/2 gb X1900XTX

A 20" widescreen has the same height (real life wise) as a 19" CRT (4:3), a 22" widescreen has the same height as a 19" TFT (5:4).

I've replaced my old 19" CRT with a 20" wide and was suprised I didn't loose any height when I measured it up.

Congratulations on the new monitor.

But since this is a personal thread that quite frankly has very little discussion value and that we already discussed quite some time I'm locking this.
