I'm pretty sure this was talked about earlier, but it was never expanded upon.
Ok.. lets go back to the "look, fish!" statement. How can we break that down into possible coordinates. The one that I can think of is alphabet placement:
l.o.o.k
12.15.15.11
f.i.s.h
6.9.19.8
I've not been able to get it into hex format that's usable. Any other ideas?
It seemed like we were making progress (image changes) when we would map the previous coordinates.

"Be Sure to Drink your Ovaltine", you guys need to watch the classics. In "A Christmas Story" one of the sub-plots has the character trying to get a secret decoder ring to read a secret message.
He gets his ring, decodes the message, and finds it's an advertising scheme for Ovaltine and is utterly disapointed. Do you see the parrallels now?
SK-Excellion refers to Samson Mow's Lineage II Character name. Samson Mow's the AP on the Relic Online team, formerly in charge of Balance for Relic's games. I suspect he's responsible for launching the new website, but because he's away on Vacation/Work he's not able to actually have the new site go live. The sk-Excellion thing is his in joke most likely, and nothing more.

If what Uber is saying is true, then it's just the coordinate that is of any use whatsoever then. And I just wasted precious time seeking the next picture by browsing from 8a.jpg to 8zz.jpg :disgust: I don't think there is a clue anywhere in the image as far as we've checked.
Xypher, if that is the way "look, fish!" is meant to be transformed into coordinates, then it will point somewhere close to 0°longitude and 0°latitude (give or take 26 degrees) which I believe is somewhere in the Indian Ocean. Or maybe West Africa. I think that's too far off tangent from the previous 6 coordinates. I support the theory of the "look, fish!" comment to be just that, a comment to tease us.
But then again some point in the middle of an ocean is exactly what we've been getting so far... :| God I'm confused

I'm not.
It's a site re-design. Yeah no doubt there's a DoW 2 coming, and yeah no doubt there's other relic products in development, but the old Relic site was in desperate need of a fixing up.
Don't expect any world shaking revelations is what I'm getting at.

We've guessed a lot, I find it hard to believe that we haven't guessed it yet. I think they're just stirring up interest again. Assuming it's a game announcement, it's either DoW2, or HW3, or another CoH installment. If it isn't then I don't really see how we can figure it out. That being said, if it's none of the above, I don't see what could be announced that I would get excited about.

Well if you think about it, a sequal of DOW2 would require an almost identical system with a handful of additional new features. I too initially thought Dow2, but come to think of it it may not have anything to be related with the actual DOW series, but may still be Warhammer related.
Simply put, if they did indeed make a sequal of DOW, there wouldnt be much space for innovative gameplay features now would there? It would be similar in case of Starcraft 2. If it was indeed DOW 2,It would simply be a visually enhanced version of the original game with new tech trees and destructable terrain. At first people would think it was brilliant and the best game on the planet etc, but it would die down rapidly.
So instead of trying to stay on the same route as DOW, why not try something new and innovative and still keep it Warhammer themed? That is probably the most likely scenario as i cannot see Relic dumping the Warhammer IP so quickly.

If the code does indeed spell "Ask Excellion" which is likely unless it was one of those tricky codes where it spells something else if the letter-number code is done differently (or if Ask Excellion is actually one of those anagram things), then I guess the announcement can only be Relic's unveiling of a new Real Time Strategy-Magazine Advice Column Simulator game, or RTSMACS if you prefer.
Players will take command of one of two rival magazines, each having their own page layouts and reader ages, and fight to run the other out of business for no discernible reason through utilization of their advice columns which operate in the same area (which looks like the Shrine of Excellion DoW map) and attempt to draw from the same pool of advice seekers. Recruit writers, psychologists, psychics, horoscope specialists and asteroid mining ships to get the job done, and if that fails there's always the "Execute" command to improve morale. Featuring a 20 mission campaign starting with a letter asking for advice concerning a lover's infidelity and ending with an attack by rhinos fused with sharks seeking fashion tips.
Eventual expansions will add a new newspaper run by aliens who use thought control and a German Panzer Division which is lost in time and will play completely different to the other 'races' (largely due to a lack of desire to run a newspaper but a large quantity of tanks).

Excellion brings up some random stuff in a search engine, though mostly transformers, which is highly unlikely. One result was for an Asian RPG where the main character wielded a weapon named Excellion.

During WW2 the code the Navajos were using referred to ships and boats as different types of fish. So maybe the Link with Iwo Jima and fish has something to do with that?
Edit:
NAMES OF SHIPS
SHIPS --- SEA FORCE
BATTLESHIP --- WHALE
AIRCRAFT --- BIRD CARRIER
SUBMARINE --- IRON FISH
MINE SWEEPER --- BEAVER
DESTROYER --- SHARK
TRANSPORT --- MAN CARRIER
CRUISER --- SMALL WHALE
MOSQUITO BOAT --- MOSQUITO
Thats the Navajos code of all ship related items.

I highly doubt, (and will be very disappointed if I'm wrong) that Relic is going to be coming out with an MMO that requires monthly fees. If Buggo is worth her salt, (which we all know she is :) ) the folks at Relic ought to know that their fan base doesn't want such a game, and won't pay to play it. No. 1 rule of making profit is making something that people will actually buy, so it would be rather illogical to make another mmorpg for a fairly saturated market.
Whatever it is, I hope its not another WWII game. CoH is great, but I want my spaceships and ion-cannons back. ;)
I can't find anything useful in 10 minute by searching Relic, chinajoy, and Lineage2 in chinese. Besides the ChinaJoy website is a mess. I'll try if I can find any thing useful after I get home.
But I found something by searching Relic and chinajoy, this article is dated 2006-11-29.
http://big5.yesky.com/b5/pcgame.yesky.com/122/2692622.shtml
In recent interview, producer John Johnson did not answer what's the next step of their company, but information from THQ shows that the famous RTS developer is hiring new crew to make a Role Playing Game and a MMOG!!
I did not translate the whole thing but it should be enough.

Relic-online ATM is the pairing system relic uses to pair up you online games in CoH and DoW, its not some secret doorway to their MMO. Once it was called WON, now its R-O.
I personally am hoping for a new and original IP. Its never good to linger on one game for long, unless your name starts with bliz and ends with zard.

Errr yeah, not so much.
Homeworld used WON = World Opponent Network, run/used by sierra, it was Sierra's online service.
Impossible Creatures used Microsoft's Zone technology.
Gamespy is used and still used by Homeworld 2 and Dawn of War.
Relic Online uses Quazal's backend, and as far as I know was designed to be Relic's version of Battle.net (one day eventually). I believe all future Relic games will use the same network backend. However, Quazal's tech that relic is currently using is NOT for MMO games (2-32 players). Quazal does have a MMOG tech though. So if there's any partnering news posted on Relic.com soon, look into what that company does.
Now that Excellion/Samson is back from China, I'd expect to see the website updated anytime now.

Lord Simonicus, did you miss the countdown timer at the bottom? There are currently 5 hours & 19 minutes until it reaches zero.
Agreed that it does look like a website launch in the background, but the website wouldn't have been taken down for this long if that was all they were doing, nor would we have been getting all these nice hints.
Am I right in that at the end of the countdown, we'll just see "Fish!" appear on the screen? Wonder if that was Pike's idea.

THQ Inc. and Shanda Interactive Entertainment Limited today announced a co-development and publishing agreement for an online-only version of THQ's critically acclaimed 3D Real-Time Strategy (RTS) PC game Company of Heroes™. Company of Heroes Online™ (working title) is currently being co-developed by THQ studio Relic Entertainment, the creators of Company of Heroes, and Shanda. As part of the agreement, Shanda has obtained the exclusive license to operate Company of Heroes Online in Mainland China, and THQ and Shanda will also share the benefits of the game’s potential release outside that region. Company of Heroes Online is scheduled for release across Mainland China in 2008.
The original Company of Heroes was released to broad critical acclaim in 2006. The game is set in World War II and brings to life the journey of the men of Able Company as they fight across Europe. The RTS hit has won more than 37 awards to date, including six “PC Game of the Year” and 12 “Strategy Game of the Year” awards. In addition, the game is listed in more than 10 “Top 10 Games of 2006” lists. Company of Heroes Online is set to deliver a persistent Company of Heroes experience for online gamers where players will be able to build their character up from private to general through new multiplayer cooperative missions, gameplay modes, and player versus player combat. The teams at Relic Entertainment and Shanda are joining together to create a persistent RTS experience across the expansive battlefields of World War II Europe.
