I didn't play a lot of Homeworld 1, but it seems to me in the demo, it's a royal pain to get fighters docked and ready to jump. I know this will change on larger maps, but for now it seems so much more efficient just to drive there with frigates instead of docking with the carrier, hyperspacing, killing what target you wanted dead, docking again, hyperspacing, etc.

Faster than it used to.....constant stream of fighters and corvettes in and out (at the same time) is good in my books.

in my opinion docking is a little bit slow, but undock/start is fast enougth

When I ordered my fighters to dock, they were in and out 10 times quicker then Homeworld, or at least it seemed that way to me. :)

yes, but they form a long line and then go in... that takes to much time, i loose if i try to jump hit and jump everytime some squadrons @the waiting line... thats :disgust:

Jumping isn't really viable on such small maps in the demo, but teh fighters dock a LOT faster now than in HW1. Chiefly becuase they form more than one line and they are a constant flow. In HW, it was a single, staggered line that moved slowly.

On larger maps, the docking is plenty fast. It's only slow if you are under attack and need to HS now ;)
