Resizing issues

Whenever i try to play hw2 and i make the resoultion(1600x1200) bigger than my desktop (1027X768) the game screen no longer fits my monitor and i really want all of the nice eye candy and its making me sad and ati have no mention of this problem anywhere so u guys are my last resort so plz help me if u can

Errrr are you on a laptop? Can you set your desktop resolution to 1600x1200 and then try? It should automatically resize to fit your monitor... unless ...

Can you post your hw2.log file please?

nevermind i figured out the problem my monitor doesnt supports 1600x1200 but i wish it did is there any way i can make it support 1600x1200? and i dont have a logfile due to reinstalling and not playing

Monitors can't support more then they're designed to, there's no way to change that, and believe me when I say you DON'T want to try to exceed. I know I've broken a monitor by pushing it too far. Of course, it was a Hewlett Packard, so that's expected.

i have a very similar problem where I set my game resolutino to 1600x1200 but my monitor doesn't support that resolution. That's no big deal, but now I go into the game to try to change the resolution and I can't access the appropriate menus and buttons because they're off my screen. Could some1 tell me how to change my game resolution without using the in game menus?

EDIT: never mind, I used command switch things to resize my game
