View Full Version : Becoming a Space Marine

I know that Space Marines are absurdly large when compared to your average human, and I know that they go through a lengthy process to get alterations and modifications to become a space marine. Does anyone know what this process entails?

To become a Space Marine, one must prove their worth.
Some are former Guardsmen, others were heroes from primitive tribes, and even strong young men who defended their planet in the face of danger.

i thnik a thread like this would be better off at the 40k table top discussion. (mainly backstory and fluff)

This (http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/spacemarines/extras/creationofamarine/default.htm) should answer all your questions. And, yes, it does take a very long time and many people die before donning the power armour.

Wikipedia is great for all fluff.

Regardless of the fact that this is a repost (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?p=2485061) , I would highly suggest using the search function and also checking your trusty Wikipedia. Also, much of the GW novels go into this process in great depth.

I just forgot, the 40k Lexicanum (google it) is like the same as Wikipedia.

Well Parricidium your question was answered so thread locked. Next time if anyone has a question on fluff related questions perhaps try our fluff forums (http://forums.relicnews.com/forumdisplay.php?f=108). You would have passed it on your way to the dow forums from the main index.
This might seem abrupt but its just going to be link spam and whatnot. A search would have likewise answered this question as it has come up previously.
