This is a thread to tell about the amazing battles youve had in the open beta because you cant post replays. Ill start of with mine.

I finally got an automatch game going. 1v1 on rails and metal and started in the north. I won the game 500 to 0, but it was a tight battle near the left VP. I had one tommie squad with a LT and with the first squad sniper attachment. I assualted a mun point to the south and hit two PG squads and one with the gwerer 43 (SP). I decided to build a trench in the middle of the fight, NOT ADVISED. By the time I finished I had 2 tommie members left and an incendiary grenade quickly ended that. So then I came back with 3 tommie squads with an LT. I faced a 4 man squad of PGs and a squad with only one guy left with a gwerer (SP) in the trench and a scout car. The tommies had green cover. The battle was going evenly until he brought in a tank destroyer halftruck, forgot the name. I finished the battle by bringing my support truck up and reinforcing my tommies and building sappers with PIATS. Then, once his forces were decimated the VPs ran out for him.

massive halftrack charge, lead by 2 with MP44s inside, followed by 3 each with 2 schrecks in it, basically just killed everything but his HQ in one round trip

Facing a lone unsupported Jagdpanther, my tetrach light tank smoked the front of it which allowed it to circle it and eventually kill it, it returned under fire to add the ultimate insult by destroying the carcass.

Just had my best game yet 10 minutes ago. I joined a 3v3 compstomp, just to toy with tank destroyers (the doctrine). Well, the game started (it was on that Gap map, whatever it is) and almost immediatly the third guy lagged out. So its me and this other dude vs 3 enemy hards. I use my infantry to cap things and mostly push out armored cars. He uses Marders to defend our stuff while I push forward. Eventually, we get half the map, and then most of it, pushing them back to their side and destroying the foot bridge. I send 2 Hetzers to the foot bridge to prevent infantry, and some assault grens to help repair. So me and this guy hold out on the bridge. His Marders and 88s, combined with my tanks and infantry keep them locked down tight, and I even go on a raid with my Jagd and 2 panthers, nearly killing one army before falling back. But then my teammate tells me he has to go. Im kind of iffy, but I say alright. So here I am, mostly good, plenty of resources, against 3 enemy hard AI.

So I decided to have some fun. Got 5-6 tank hunter squads, repaired the foot bridge, ran them accross, and all hell broke loose. Wiped all of them out, and by the end I had about 6 men in total, in about 3 squads.

Also, tank destroyers doctrine owns.

3 of us panzer elite vs 2US and 1Brit expert AI on the new 6player map with the bridges, 500 VP game.

Trying to hold the island from hordes of allied infantry was insane. Not a huge fan of comp stomps but this was alot of fun.

We kept getting pushed back off the island due to lack of numbers but slowly stacked up the vet fighting off so much infantry that we started to push them back. Heavy rain set in and we made our push with a hand full of vet Panzergrens through 30.cal fire and superiour numbers of allied rifles/tommies. Our vet hardened g43/flame nade equipped panzergrens charged in and forced them right out of their trenches ! But the victory was short lived as the allied horde counter attack began.

Planes filled the skies and Airborne troops began dropping behind our front line cutting off resources, whilst sending men back to fight skirmishes with the airborne our thinned front line was faced with a wave of riflemen, tommies and 30.cals. Once again we were forced off the island to recover numbers.

Next was our counter-counter :p as we returned in Halftracks and backed by mortars, the allies were torn to pieces and retreating, their isolated base at the bottom managed to pack up and relocate to the top with the americans before we had a chance to lay waste to it. We retook the island and held tight with our renewed numbers, tank buster squads and mortar support. It was a simple task of holding the side bridge as the VP countdown began.

Wave after wave after wave of allied infantry stormed down the bridge through burning ground and mortar fire to be met by our panzergrens. Our numbers started to thin again as halftracks were lost and low numbered panzergrenadiers had to return to base.

The crossing was littered with bodies and they kept on coming, few more surprise flank attacks from airborne drops behind our defensive line and then came the allied armour charge. Tank buster squads took down the first few light tanks and m10s but fell to the overwhelming small arms fire. Our remanding panzergrens held on as our reinforcements mustered, the last tank buster squad on the front line lost in a barrage or mortar rounds. Without AT the remainding vet squads were falling as they desperately tried to stop the advance of a Cromwell tank with AT grenades whilst under 30.cal fire.

Finally as the fireflys began to cross came our reinforcements, panergrens poured out of their halftracks, panzershreks showering the tanks and forcing them back across the crossing. Axis tank hunters moved into position to secure the line.

A final wave of allied infantry began to cross to defend it's retreating armour and planes once again filled the sky but axis air support ruled the sky, two AT planes swooping across the crossing leaving nothing but wrecked tanks and dismembered bodies.

The allied forces were in a full retreat and victory was secured as their VPs hit zero.

Epic game !
