View Full Version : [Help] Connection Error (possible bug)

I am having a problem where I get disconnected from the game, then when I log back in I can't see any rooms to join, it is like I am the only person online. I made a new account and it worked for a game, then the next game I played the same thing happened, so I went back to my other account and that one still doesn't work. I am about to make a third, the only fix seems to be to make a new account. I think this may be a bug.

Okay, I just tried to make a new account again and it would not let me, I am not even sure how I made a new one the first time. The first name I made was Vintage, and it currently isn't working and is the only one I can access now. The second name I made was ismellnice. I can't use either of them and I don't know how to make a new account again this is really wierd.

Now I can't even access Vintage, here is a screenshot to show what I am talking about I don't understand any of this.

Funny thing, this just happened to me.

You see it says that your not connected to relic online.
I tried to push sign in but it couldn't find the game.

So i connected to Relic Online via Vanilla COH worked like a charm?
WTF mate.

Maybe i should try another account then?

Relic Online has been up and down. It's not a bug, the server is not stable right now.

Yeah try another account, I can't make another one on the beta anymore I don't know why. Look I have another screen shot of being logged in on Vintage but there are no games available.

So it's a simple case of bad server then.

RO has always been shit since day of VanillaCOH. So what more to expect?
That they would have fixed it 1½ year later since original release.

Okay here is my warnings log.

Mac Bug if you can, please let me know if the problem is on my end so I can try and correct it, or if it is on Relics end so I know that there is nothing I can do. This problem is really odd so it could be either one but since another guy is having the same problem I am unsure if it is me or Relic, if it's me I'd like to know if there is anything I can do to fix it.

Can you connect to RO on vanilla CoH? Because as I suspected you couldn't connect to RO at all, which indicates that the game is either being blocked by a software firewall or your 30610 UDP outbound isn't allowed.

I can log into RO on vanilla CoH with no problems, so this is isolated to the beta. What do you suggest? If the software is being blocked or I need to open up a port how would I go about doing that.

Vanilla COH worked out fine. But this happened and a moment later the patch was released so i guess server reboot since it works out fine now.

vanilla CoH uses 30620 or something like that, which is different from the OF beta, but this is outbound, which normally isn't blocked so you shouldn't have a problem and you don't need to open any ports - do you have any sort of software firewall installed?

Now it happened again.

I have no ports blocked that i know of. No router, No firewall, Windows Firewall turned off. Windows Security Update turned off. No virus application, No other thing that sends traffic on internet - that i know off.

Have also done LSPfix. No problems there.

I have norton anti virus which has a firewall and also the firewall that comes with windows. When i started the game it asked if i wanted to block or permit the beta, I chose to permit it. I also played several games before I had any problems so I don't know why this is happening. I have also not changed anything on my computer since the last time I played. I will try disabling all firewalls.

Make sure you go into the firewall's configuration and confirm that the game is allowed, this is especially important since the exe could have changed after the new patch and you may have to re-allow the game again

I have the same problem, this happened today before I applied the patch, I have the set the firewall to allow RO and nothing happens. BTW vCoH works fine.

I don't know how to turn off the nortan anti virus program, is there a way I can just disable nortan anti virus while I play the beta then turn it on again when I am done?

You shouldn't have to, and it seems like ppl are reporting the server is down right now, so wait until you could confirm that it is working fine before tweaking what's not broken.

Just a question? Seems like people start dropping when servers going down. Because i was in the middle of a game. Isn't it supposed to be peer-to-peer. Do i need to be connected to RO to be able to play as well?
