View Full Version : Deathmatch only official map mode in retail

okay, now, first off: the HW2 gen.dis. forum (and strat) are getting spammed by requests/complaints/screamingriots about the "missing" map editors and the single DM playmode - at least 4 times a day!

I have located and prioritized one single thread i hope will be docked shortly. (it's got the best quotes, plus official ones too) http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16302 What i need from you folks is comments and stuff about what plans you folks have for adding play modes and maps.

We need stuff to calm the rioting. thank you in advance, please respond at your convenience.

Since most of us modders are either UK or European we don't actually *have* the game yet.... :)

Well, If map making's anything like HW or HW:C, I'm definetely going to work on some "Epic" style maps.

I'm already sketching out some ideas for maps where the "radiation" dust clouds provide choke points early on, and where huge swaths of normal dust hide resources as well as fleets.

Secondly, I'm a fan of "tactical" map styles, where you're not really positive of where your opponent is (currently the closest HW2 map of this style is "Imposed Cosmos" with it's combination of radiation clouds, dust clouds, and massively 3-Dimensional gameplay)
