howz it
can you plz give me instructions for installing OF!!
and what i have to do to have COH working with OF,step by step and idiot proof plz(ie.1. put disk in drive, 2. dl patch ect..)you guys gave no instructions on what to do , not everybody is a computer expert round here.
i spent 6hrs yesterday and achieved nothing

Check page 2 of the OF manual. (course there's not a lot of info there)

Did you check the readme file on the DVD?
What OS are you attempting to install on?

Also, can you provide detailed description of any problems, issues, or error messages encountered during the install? Spending 6 hrs on an install sounds painful, but it doesn't provide a whole lot of info.

ps I've spent over 20 years with computers, and I'm still pulling hairs. So welcome to the club. Maybe in 20 years things will get better.

yeah im at my wits end with this , relic put out a game/mod and it causes so much drama.not cool

yeah ive cheeked the read me file and i cant find anything there that i need to know,
if i have the Internet on the game trys to dl 2 patches one is 150 mb and the other is 6 mb (ruffly) is this normal? even after its dl them nothing happens
when i had original COH installed and tried to install OF it seemed to install ok but when the game went to run it got to the loading screen stage and nothing happened (left pc running for 30mims like this).since then ive uninstalled COH and installed OF and it works sweet as(obviously i cant use COH units but)
basically i want to know the order in doing things that patch (1.8gb) does it have to installed before i try and install OF in order to have COH units available?

if i were you i would disconect your internet (pull the lead out) then uninstall everything coh related..........then defrag your computer, once done install just OF then there should be somewhere you can add the original COH cd key.........you see OF already has all the original units from the first game , but to access them you have to put in the original COH cd key................does this help you.............

ok ive done a defrag and tried to install OF using COH key code, it didnt work it wont except the code

Install using the OF code that came with the game?

Do not use the COH (original) code to install OF.

Once OF is installed, use your Relic Online account from CoH, and ADD the OF key code to it.

-just install OF using the OF serial.
-then start the game.
-log in to relic online.
-in the profile manager there is an option where u can activate a
product. just click that button and enter your COH serial.
-now u should be able to play with all armys.

i think i got it running ok now,but everytime i want to play with the old armys i have to log in and enter key code of COH in order to do so,is there a way that it just can remember that info so i dont have to do it everytime,
the other thing to is, whats that patch for? (1.8gb) one

Yes, you need to ADD the OF product key to your original Relic Online account. KA510's instructions are what you need to follow.

The 1.8GB patch is for CoH ONLY if you do NOT have CoH:Opposing Fronts installed. It adds the OF armies so you can play against them if you only have CoH.
