Do you get refunded the munis if the bomber/strafe gets shot down?
I honestly haven't noticed in the heat of battle, but it seems something is refunded. And I'm too lazy to test it =P
Anyone know?
Also what if you begin building a bunker (or any structure), but it gets destroyed before the engie/pios finish it. I know if you manually cancel the build process, it refunds, but what if you're not quick enough to hit cancel? No refund?

I've had dud V1s go off (or fail to) and not refunded.
As far as buildings, destroyed = no soup for you.

Yes - shoted aircraft returns wasted ammo, but only if they fail to do their plan.

Really? That sounds dodgy. I mean, crashing aircraft can do some serious damage. You could just spam airplanes towards a flak gun, and they would very likely land on it and take it out at some point...

You can hardly "spam" aircraft call-ins.

AFAIK, unfinished building that get destroyed don't get any refund and count towards you "Buildings Lost" in the end-game stats, and V1's that fail to impact (yes it happened to me a few months ago) don't get munitions refunded (but thats vCoH). I never thought that you would get your munitions back if you aircraft got shot down before they did their attack. I'll have to try that out somehow.
Just on a side note, does the US have any effective AAA? I know they have the M3a1 M16, but i've never seen that fire up at the PE's Panzerknackers (He111?) and i don't know if its actually effective like the SdKfz 234 or Flakvierling 38. I know the Poms have the Bofors, but can anything mobile of theirs fire up at aircraft?
Say if a Panzerknacker gets shot down, do you get refunded? And is it the one aircraft that does the runs, or multiple? So if it gets shot down (never seen it happen though), do the runs stop?

You can't call the German AA options effective. If they were, Wilson's point would be valid: You'd reliably get your munitions refunded and cooldown reset if an AA site would reliably shoot it down before it attacks.

Well what i mean by effective is, it'll shoot an incomming aircraft down at least 1/2 to 2/3rds the time if the weapon is facing in the general direction and the unit (if mobile) isn't moving or firing at anything else.
But turning that 50 munitions recon run into a 50 munitions V1 isn't really a positive thing.

There was a bug for american planes a while ago. When the plane just kinda flew off course and didn't bomb or strafe. Then it gave you munitions back. However if the shell of the plane still is there, you can harvest its munitions with Wehr pios. It may be like 100 munitions, although I can't find the exact number. Its 5 munis every 5 seconds AFAIK

Say can bofors shoot down V1's? They should be able too! After all they did in defending London, and currently Bofors don't see much use except as expensive anti-infantry, and the V1 doesn't have any counter, especially since you can't see where it's gonna impact.

Yes the Bofor will shoot down enemy air craft. The Americans AA is the Quad. That is all i know
