DoW:WA doesn't instal

I have this problem, First I install the original DoW
then when I put in the WA disc it boots up as it should and it instals all the patches. But when it is going to install Winter Assauly it says "Please instal warhammer 40,000: dawn of war."
Then when I press ok on that window it says "installation ended prematurely because of an error"

I am running windows XP: Proffessional on a
DELL Precision m70 laptop.

If this has already been posted I am truly sorry.
I did search for this problem but didnt find any solution.

Sounds like the DoW registry entries arent being created when you install it - go start > run > type "regedit" and click "run" > navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\THQ\Dawn of War\

that directory should contain information about your DoW installation (CD key, install location, patch version, etc). If that stuff isnt there then something went wrong during the install.

All those files are there. and I have tried to install it two times already.
Though I noticed that it says its version 1.00.00000
