After beating him early game and about to build a bunker to seal the deal a commando squad shows up kills my pak bunker and support.

Feeling deterred but i said ill stick it out this time, I skipped sturm armory and eventually got vet 3 knights cross holders which lose vs commandos :bleh:

A panther which supriseingly the cromwell penetrates easily and vet 3 grens with mg42 plus for the fatherland, which unsurprisely lose vs commandos

I used defensive which helped with his baserush and took out a commando squad with registered arty.

I finnally won :banana:

I loved the game - very well played mate.

The Goliath put a smile on my face not only since its been eons since I last saw one, but because you utilised it as a terror weapon.
Charging it at those sappers and the Brit panicking by retreating was a great laugh.

I do feel though you should have kept riding around the Goliath when you found that Bren squad at the church until either...
a)You found a optimal position to blow it
b)He blew it up (would cause many problems for him if he did this)

Thats just nit picking though.

The way you handled that commando squad when he went after your two Panzershreck squads attacking that Firefly was most impressive - I genuinely thought you were absolutely screwed.

Most of all though, this replay highlighted the USELESSNESS of the defensive doctrine base MGs. Absolutely shite against those commandos - barely scratched them.

(On a side note, I heard for the first time ever upon deployment the Panther say "Heavy Panzer commissioned to the front !" - first time ive ever heard that, and it sounds really awesome)

But in general, the guy opposing you used the lowest and cheapest possible strats and you beating him is worth 10x more than if the victory were his.

nicely played! however what the hell you had your goliath right ontop if his LT when you blew it, it didnt kill the LT? are they invulnerable to stuff like that or something?!
