I have update an old DC no limit mod to run with all soulstorm units (including sisters and d.eldar)

Also turrets have more health and build faster.

How do I install the mod. Do I need extract those data files into a specific folder.

Just place the .module file and the R4000NoLimitMod folder in the Soulstorm App's Install folder. Then run the game and select 'Game Manager' from the main menu. Click "R4000's No Limit Mod' and click 'Activate'.

Known Bugs:
- Battle Sisters cannot be used as they use unit cap... will be fixed in new update releasing soon.

Got it working and played a few skirmishes.

I was wondering if there is a way to cap commanders only. It seems in Skirmish the AI just spams commanders.

Last game was my huge Sm army (very nice no cap :up: ) against 8 archons. That's all AI did.

Seems other races do the same.

And yeah, please do make a separate mod where the hero is limited, not because I want the heroes to be limited but because I want them not (so I can have dozens of chaos demons roaming the battlefield! *evil laugh* hahahahahaha).

Finally one of my lifelong dream can come true.

It would indeed make more sense to have the Commander units capped. I'm all for it. Just about to install this mod, so I'll have to edit this post with my opinion. :)

Finally got my demonic army going last night. Rip down the stage with 6 bloodthirsters and 8 demonic...champions? (whatever the commander turns into) Just tearing down everything.

It was also fun watching my computer ally dealing out pwnage with 2 - 3 cannoness and then going up against an enemy force commander and eldar hero, while watching in another battle field two groups of commander (IG) retinue ripping down enemy HQ.

Thought the amount of hero was okay though, because the comp actually do make a vast army of other stuff =/

Yeah, if you make a sperate mod that for commander cap that would be freakin awesome. :corn:

Played a few times more and use the reveal-all cheat to see what AI does. They seem to go from sqaud to commander-to spaud to commmander etc.

In the end I am just running through a bunch of commanders with their high HP. Not really a bigf battle though

I think if the Commander was capped it would create more huge battles with tons of infantry.

Just my thoughts. :stupido:

I'll be aiming to release the bugged fixed version of this at the same time as the capped-commander version of this... Late this week or early next... Been a little busy recently.

This mod is proving to be quite scary, especially when you realise that you can potentially build a base faster than it can be destroyed.

man this looks sweet. I mean, imagine. thousands of heroes meleeing each other. especially when you set up where they HAVE to use sync-kill. mwhahaha.

Played a 4v4 today. I made a bunch of unit-producing structures and just had them funnel units towards the enemy. I came back a while later, and there was a massive teardrop of green units lagging their way towards the single enemy base I had crushed.

I played the other day in Bloodshed Alley and it was just poetic. I have 5 groups of chaos marines marching down toward the center base, with 2 groups of possessed marines, 4 groups of Khorne berserkers, and 8 daemon lords as well as 6 bloodthirsters. It was simply epic. Since I had so many group of units, they were scattered about front and back and when they marched the daemons were mixed together with smaller units and they looked like titanic figured leading or supplementing the others.

Maybe I should post a replay or something. And because of the no limit cap there just were constant battles going on, often times 2 or 3 on the map.

Oh and what bugged is being fixed? Wasn't aware that there was any =/

Current List of Known Bugs:


Race: Sisters of Battle.
Unit: Battle Sister.
Bug: Requires requsition, but since you have none you cannot build the unit.

Race: Elder, and possibly others.
Unit: Turret.
Bug: The turret doesn't actually have any more health like it should.


List of possible new features:
- May tweak avatars to be a little more powerful.
- May tweak fire prisms to be more armored.
- You recommend some features too!

I've played about 5 or 6 matches of this with my friends last night. 2v2 (player vs player) and 4v4 (player vs npc). Both hard as hell :)

My friends have been playing this mod for the past few weeks and are loving it. I'm glad you all are too!

If you mean can you use like the 'etherals' special skills over and over agian with each one. then yes. if you mean something else... please clearify

The Ethereal provides health and morale bonuses to everyone. The Avatar doubles production speed and gives you 4 squad and 10 vehicle cap. And yes, they do. So having 10 Ethereals gives everyone +2000 health and morale, and 10 Avatars would make you produce units in 0.09765625% of the normal time.

R4000 theres another problem with the Sisters of battle, the assasin lady (name escapes me) is unbuildable Because it requires i think 1 Squadcap, might wanta look into that aswell :) btw i love this mod!

i played it know excelent mods,it was no so lagy as i think it was,but i have older pc p4 3,0ghz,2 gb ram,7600gt, i played 1vs1.

Anywho, holy crap that's insane xD. But I would recommend a few things:

- Limit commanders to maybe 2 (for example for races with commander ability like the deceiver/night bringer/daemon prince etc)

- Definitely limit relic units to 2 or 3 lol

- And err...maybe limit some of the higher tiered units just a bit...maybe to 10-15 etc

Still looks intense, looking forward to trying it :D

dont cap the higher teir units just cap the commanders to like 3 or 4 so you can hqve a huge army being led by its own hero. imagin recreating an army for one of the books!!! but instead of having CSM's you would just spam commanders and psykers that would be awsome. like an all out hero smash

Orks and tau rule with this mod.

I had a buddy, long time ago, made a kick ass mod called Armageddon.

Tripled everything... that way there was mass carnage, but people couldn't spam certain units, and there was no lag. "School got in the way" back when he started making a version for Dark Crusades, alas, he never returned to the mod.

It'd be nice to just see a simple triple-cap mod again, include half-scale (or download half-scale triple cap and make sure to increase the hard caps) and merge that bitch with the Tyranid mod.
