As mentioned in this thread, many maps of the DoW franchise are simply broken in one side, or sides. Either in auto match or on team based maps. These are simply issues without mirroring the other side in all aspects, which is essential for balanced competition.

If this thread is redundant with the one linked, close it as you please. However, I would like to open up a thread like the no-brainer bug list that shows when a map in an auto match isn't geometrically balanced or if theres craters on one side and not another, etc.

Anyone is welcomed to post any findings they have like in the first link of this post, this will help immensely to foster a more competitive and fair atmosphere.

Please keep suggestions for maps realistic and with good reasoning and separated from actual imbalances. If there's no cover on a map and if you think it'd be balanced to add some, explain why, where, and implications of doing so just for an example, keeping every race in mind.

I think balance forum rules dictate that you must have some substance in your post rather than askinf for other people to find it.

Not that I don't think imbalanced maps are a problem. They certainly need fixing in some cases, though I dunno if we'll get any.

Fair enough point, I considered it as well before making a thread upon map balance. Without SS, I'm uncertain if this is relevant, but the maps relatively don't change unless it's a patch.

Note, this thread is for all maps, not just 1 on 1 matches.

Pavonis, a 3v3 map, is grossly imbalanced in the favor of the players 1-3 due to the choke points set, the relic being on their elevation, and the constricted amount of area players 4-6 have.

Solution: Move the area that the players 1-3 have so theres equality in land with a contested middle relic instead of the relic being pocketed on the higher elevation by a choke point. If the relic must stay in it's current position, make at least two routes of attacks for each team to go into.

Your example is a map that was primarily intended as a scenario map in the DC campaign. I think that, while it would nice to have these maps balanced...it probably aint gonna happen and you should focus on the maps that are more commonly considered as competitive maps. Get those ones balanced and leave the rest for Campaign and friendly matches.
