i went to add my cd keys from dark crusade, dow, and winter assault onto my soulstorm profile, but it says the games appear to be improperly installed and that i have to reinstall them...but if i go to play dark crusade, it says that only dawn of war is incorrectly installed, and then i can only play as tau and crons in dc online (similarly with de and sob in ss online). so why wont my games recognize each other?

There seems to be a problem with your registry files. To check, go to 'Run' and type 'regedit' and click OK. Navigate to COMPUTER> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SOFTWARE> THQ. Open the dawn of war folders (for each game) and check that;
1) They are installed in the location they are stated as being installed in
2) The CD Keys are correct (ie the same as on your manual)
EDIT: If you are running a computer in 64 bit, the registries may be located under;
COMPUTER> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SOFTWARE> WOW6432NODE> THQ

ah, thanks, that worked out great. the problem was that i installed the games onto my external HD, which for some reason use to be listed as D but now only appears as H, so all the previous games had been set to the D drive. what i dont understand now is why i cant find any of the folders that soulstorm installed...i know the game works because i can play it, but i cant download any replays because i cant get to the playback folder (or any other folder) that installs with SS. all i can get to are the icons to start the game =/

Try a Windows search.
Are you using Vista by any chance?

i tried the windows search when i was messing around with it last night, but all it gave me were the icons again, and the readme and uninstall. and no, im actually using windows xp office edition. (not playing at the office though, hehe)

Well if the game plays, it must be present somewhere....
Is it not under H:\Program Files \THQ either?
its very odd that windows did not find it. Im sure you will find it if you keep manually looking. Good luck ;)

ha, actually i did...the only playback folder present in the same folder as the game installed to was the one that was also there for the original DoW, so i tried saving a SS replay there to see if i could watch it, and it worked! so whatever, im satisfied, thanks
