I checked the DoW2 website just now and it had little bit more info. Mostly advertising blurbs 'From award-winning' etc. But there was this little tidbit.

It's the 41st Millennium in the Sub-Sector Aurelia - a cluster of worlds on the edge of the Galaxy - where a battle of epic proportions is about to commence. Ancient races will clash across the planets that dot this section of space, battling for the greatest of stakes - not only the claim to the land and its bounty - but the fate of each race.

At least its certain where this fight is going to be, Sub-Sector Aurelia. Unfortunately I don't know where this is, so if anyone else has any ideas. But it does mention ancient races, this could just be due to the fact that most races in 40K are ten thousand years old at least. But it might be refering to the more ancient races, Eldar or Necrons.
Finally, the blurb says the clash will be across planets, so the campaign is, presumably not confined to one planet as with DoW-DC. Hopefully the planets will be better implimented than SS however.

If any mods feel this doesn't warrent enough for some discussion. Feel free to lock (As if I need to say). Otherwise, speculate away.

Pretty much all of that info except for the name of the place was in the original press release... just phrased a little differently.

Developed by critically acclaimed RTS developer Relic Entertainment, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II ushers in a new chapter in the acclaimed RTS series, as ancient races - including the dauntless Space Marines and savage Orks - clash across ruined worlds on a mission to claim the galaxy and preserve their own existence.
I doubt this will spawn any discussion that isn't already being brought up in other threads about the campaign or the magazine previews, so I'll go ahead and lock this one to keep the same things from having to be said over again.
