Now, I'm new to the WH40k universe and all the fluff contained therein. So, you'll have to bear with me on this. I have been reading about the Imperial Guard recently and have come to notice the great diversity that the Guard offers to players. There are many regiments of note that all seem to sport their own special tactics and uniforms. In DoW2, I would like to see the Imperial Guard as a playable faction. However, I would like relic to go one step farther than they did with DoW's expansion. We have an army painter, but all this did was to allow us to paint the Cadian troops as they were all that were represented in DoW. I would suggest that players be allowed to select individual Guard regiments to play as. Your play style would be affected by these choices. If you preferred siege warfare and defensive type combat, you could choose to play as the Death Korps of Krieg. I was extremely disappointed to be limited to Cadian troops in DoW. I would love to be able to play as the Valhallans or the Steel Legion.
