Unable to install balance playtest

When I try to install the playtest it says that it can't install because I have 2.300, and it needs 2.301. But I DO have 2.301 and am able to play online with it.

Does anybody know why it could be misidentifying my game version? And is there any way I can force it to install anyway?

Hm. Go to start > run type in regedit.

Go local machine > your company of heroes folder.

What's it say for version there?

How do I see my game version there? I can only see my product keys, installstate and SKU. One thing I do notice is that I have an entry for Company of Heroes - multiplayer beta, under the THQ folder. Was that the TA beta?

edit: ok well you might want to look at your local machine > software > microsoft > windows > current version > uninstall > company of heroes

The display version should be 2.301.0. If it is and still doesn't work, you might want to wait for someone who's better with this kinda stuff.

Yes, do that. Be sure it's 2.301.0 and not just 2.301

I have this exact same problem, but when I changed the entry in regedit it now says I have an "unrecognized version".

My game is definitely updated and says 2.301.0 at the title screen.

i have the same problem once, what i have to do is the folowing i use, smarty uninstaller to remove the coh intallation and the i use registry mechanic to clean the registry , and later did a reinstall of coh of
